Draco met his mother at Charmed, the new and rapidly becoming popular restaurant in Daigon Alley. He had reserved a table for three, since both his mother and Pansy had expressed a wish to dine there. However he had received a floo call at lunch form Pansy saying she couldn’t make it, so he went with just his mother instead.

The restaurant was as charming as the name suggested. The interior was done in warm tones, and the entire atmosphere felt cosy. Christmas decorations were scattered around giving it a more homey feel.

He walked towards his mother, were she was already seated, and kissed her lightly on the cheek.

“Hello, mum,” he said warmly.

“Draco!” she cried joyfully, as she returned the kiss. Draco sat down in the seat opposite of her and grabbed his napkin from his plate. He removed the silver napkin holder, unrolled to napkin and placed it onto his lap. Narcissa reached across the table to fill his glass with water.

“So Pansy, has been telling me about this secret admirer. Any guesses who that might be? Or maybe some wishful thinking?” Narcissa asked when Draco was just about to drink a sip, almost causing him to spray the water out over the table.

“Mum! Don’t ask me these things! And don’t listen to Pansy, either,” Draco grumbled, slightly blushing. “And for your information the answer is no. To both questions.”

“Ah, Draco, don’t be like that. I’m just curious, besides it’s a mother’s right to be worried about her children. You’ve been working hard, and you hardly go out anymore. This secret admirer might be good for you.”

“It was one Christmas cracker. You make it sound like I’m being courted. It was probably some stupid prank.”

“Nonsense,” Narcissa protested, “Stop being such a pessimist. You just wait and see. I can tell; I have a good feeling about all of this.”
