He was late, it was long, he stayed in the hospital for a week which made the next week, learning how to feed, a pain. But we're home now and settling into a routine. Maybe I'll post a birth story eventually.

I feel like a walking timebomb because everyone tells me "good luck, if I don't see you before the baby comes!" as I leave places. My due date is in 9 days. Nine days! Holy cow, that's soon. Even if I go two weeks over, the baby will be here in under a month. So very strange ( Read more... )

I just bought my first-ever item off ebay. I feel 4 years behind the times.

Things are looking good enough that I think it's safe to get excited about this. The IT folks are souping up my unit's laptop so that it can run my programs. My boss likes the idea because she's scared I'll quit working before I finish my current project if I can no longer drag my butt to work every day. Two people this week have told me the baby's dropping. I really prefer that comment to being told I must be having twins, which I hear far more often than is reasonable. I have become a crazed, gung-ho pregnant woman. I am either completely exhausted or a sorting, organizing machine. There is no in-between. Ever since I made a list of the 50 things that need to get done before the baby arrives, I've been on a mission to complete them all. In under 2 months I will have this baby. If he or she decided to be born tomorrow, I'd have to go to the hospital and the baby might be in the NICU for a week or so, but would likely be otherwise normal. He or she probably weighs close to 5 lbs now. Whoa.

I was quite impressed that I made it through the extended version of Fellowship last night in the theatre and only got up to pee once. I didn't even have to get dehydrated to pull it off.
