Ladies, Happy New Years (!) though I am all of 5 days late.

home rant -i just wrote this home rant that i’m not going to even bother posting. suffice to say, i just feel like ever project becomes bigger and more complicated then it really needs to be. it’s annoying and tiresome and in the end i always end up spending more money then i want because i just want the problem to be over with. not the most ( Read more... ) -

I’ve never been a round dinning room table kind of girl. I don’t think it was so much that I didn’t like them I just never had one growing up and we often gravitate to what we know. So we’ve been dead set on a square or rectangle table. Then I saw this perfect room set up by Nate Berkus (sp?) that I really want to implement in our living room/ ( Read more... ) -

Lighting:I have neglected to mention this but the lighting in our new place is horrible. Other then the kitchen and hallway, we have no overhead fixtures. That just seems so irrational to me. I know it will be well over a year before we pay someone to come in and re-wire the place and I will dread everyday until that happens. I guess we could make ( Read more... ) -

This weekend we got our stuff from storage - yay! Granted we don’t own much but it was nice, and almost like Christmas. We have pretty much been getting small things here and there since last November that I have not allowed us to use anything. we need to purchase a mattress and i was wondering if any of you ladies wanted to give us some input or advice.
i’m also curious to know what mattress everyone own, why, if you love it and how much do you think we should expect to pay. we are willing to spend what i think is a large amount but i wonder if that really = a better night sleep, you
