I am in panic mode over here. I have to have my gallbladder removed in the near future (2-3 weeks) and my DD is only 3 weeks old. I have started pumping in preparation for my absence but I have no idea how many oz. that I will need. I have always rinsed the accessories at work and then steamed once I got home. But, I started using the Medela wipes. It feels like it gets cleaner then just rinsing. Is this ok?

I just got a new skin care product (not prescription strength) that has retinol in the night time product. Does anyone know if it's safe to use while nursing or not? I know that skin care products have some issues during pregnancy, I just wasn't sure if that transfers over to nursing as well, or not. Gotta run, screaming babies!

The antibodies in breastmilk can easily be destroyed with heat.  It is best to put the bag of breastmilk in warm tap water to thaw.  You cannot “allow breastmilk to thaw over the week”.  Once it is thawed it has to be used by 24 hours.
