Midweek
I've had the last two Fridays off, so I am quite indignant to find that I've got two more days to work this week. But then a week off. It's not especially healthy to hoard leave to year end, but I held onto the idea I'd get to do something more interesting if I kept the time back and, well, here we are. Autumn chills
It's been a long week - one of my regular assessment panels yesterday, with all the prep, nervous energy and looooong Teams time that implies. Followed by All The Admin, which will keep me going most of next week, after which I have an actual week off. End of the month
Here we are, it's Halloween, and I haven't caught covid through my job visits this month so woop woop survival is ongoing. It's been a very quiet weekend after rather a busy week (twice at the theatre! A contemplative Friday Five
It's being a quiet weekend, which is good. Apart from the builders downstairs, who are far too much of my social life downstairs. They are being pretty conscientious and certainly not deliberately loud, but there’s shedloads of demolition and it has been such a pain to live through. A long haul
Long weeks at the moment - it's been very busy and I am tired. Probably partly thanks to a flu jab on Monday, which gave me enough symptoms (tiredness mostly) that I got a PCR test yesterday thanks to the research study I'm in. Came back negative, which is reassuring after too many people I know have been exposed lately ( Read more... ) -

Goodness, I'm knackered. Site visit today, and there nearly wasn't, because the key person I was meeting had a kid come up positive for Covid yesterday. We did the whole thing masked and it was hard work making sure to communicate with anxious people. Ah, it's been a week, hasn't it? Oops. In my defence? It's my busiest time at work, and also downstairs have announced their building work is starting as of Monday so I've been in a futile funk about that one.
