CLASS RULES
Show up. Discuss. Do the work. It shouldn't be too hard. It should be pretty fun. Most of all, it should be wacky and insane.
Discussion will probably be 50% of your grade. I say "probably" because my grading is insane and even I barely understand how it works. But it does, okay? Anyway, answer the discussion prompt with something. I'll let the occasional bout of silence slide, just don't do it often. Obviously, attendance factors into this grade. If you're not there, you can't discuss. You have until the next class to respond to a class if you really need it.
If you want to, please, reply to other students' points. Interaction is the entire point of discussion. We have an interesting group and I'm on slowplay during the day. Have fun. But use common sense and don't overwhelm the discussion. You don't need to hit on every single point. You're all good RPers, though, so I trust you to find a balance.
There will be two quizzes, a paper, one project, and the Final. It may sound like a lot, but, again, it's mostly just off-the-cuff insanity.
Class topics are basically whatever I come up with the night before. This is the mind of a wacky procrastinator.
There will be weekly homework. It will be quick. It will be crack.
OOC
I almost always post class first thing in the morning CST. Then I go to work where I can generally do a few replies throughout the day. I'm usually home around 6:00-7:00 CST. Rory should be available to do replies if she wishes shortly before I get home.
Homework assignments are assumed to be given to Rory. Rory is assumed to hand assignments back at the start of class on Tuesday. This will never be mentioned unless there's a reason for it to be mentioned. It's tedious.
I have yet to give a detention. Unless you really screw up, you probably won't get one from Tick. But it could happen.
We REALLY have an interesting group this semester. There's a LOT of potential drama here. I have no problem with you using that to your advantage, but if you're going to do anything big in class? E-MAIL ME FIRST. Big arguments, big plotty conversations, anything big. Contact me and I'll try to make it work smoothly. But don't randomly bring the class to a halt.
Tick generally holds Office Hours on Monday. Stop by if you'd like to talk to him out of class or if you'd like to see the wee dragon.
