Reason For Apping: I picked up the book on a whim and had utterly fallen in love with Momoko by the time I finished the first page. When I finished the book, I went "... I could app her!" and I did. I loved writing her app, which is rare for me -- her voice is just a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed writing in it. I was pretty happy with the result, too. So I sent it in unbeta'd -- and it failed. Oops. I really really wanted to reapp her, but this was before the days of the beta post, and I didn't know anyone who'd read the book, so I filed it under "someday..." and pretty much forgot for a while. Then, some seven months later, the beta post was born! I'd just apped Hisui then, though, so I waited a round and then finally reapped Momoko. That remains the shortest interval I've ever had between apps.
Select Option 3? She is one of my favorite characters in anything ever, and every time I review her canon I am reminded of how awesome she is. I don't play her enough. :(

Reason For Apping: I got into Sakura Taisen in a big way in my freshman year of college -- yes, I'm really slow. I remember sitting with my computer by the window of the dorm trying to leech off a weak wireless signal so I could torrent the Complete Song Box. It was pretty sad. Anyway, I wanted to app someone from my shiny new (well, new to me) fandom! And I had loved Maria pretty much from the first scene she was in. She was so incredibly badass and yet such a social failure, and... for some reason I find that combination endearing. :(b And I also wanted a character who could get involved in the more serious fight-y and/or plotty stuff... though I turned out to fail at that, so. Anyway, writing her app was like pulling teeth -- it was just so damn hard to get her to talk for that long -- but I triumphed in the end, obviously. \o/
Select Option 3? She was the first character I apped that I had a fangirl crush on. She was also the first character I apped that got in on the first try. There is no correlation between these two things. I think.

Reason For Apping: So back when I first got/was playing Ever17, I was working on apping another character. When that character's app went up (and proceeded to teeter on the borderline for a while and then slide down to about 50%), I played Ever17 to distract myself from my failure. Somehow this led to me deciding that I wanted to app Sara instead. She wasn't my favorite -- Tsugumi is -- but she's adorable, and at the time I really, really needed a more friendly/outgoing character who would talk to people more willingly and form relationships more easily than the other characters in my then-current line-up. So I apped her! And failed. And apped again, and failed again. "Oh well," I thought, "I guess it's just not meant to be!" But several days later, as I was waking up, the username "ninjaofthenet popped into my head, and I knew I had to reapp her so that I could use that username, if nothing else. Shortly afterwards, her whole app came to me as in a vision while I was taking a shower. I did end up fine-tuning it a little, but it remained largely unchanged, and did really well. No app I've written since has been that easy.
Select Option 3? I find her habit of pestering grumpy/quiet/emo boys surprisingly fun.

Reason For Apping: I read Ayashi no Ceres ages and ages ago, and Shuro was always my favorite -- though at the time I was a very shallow fangirl and I really just thought she was hot. And then I outgrew such silly things as Watase manga and didn't really think about it for a while. Then, uh... one day on fandomsecrets someone made a secret about Shuro and I was like "OH MAN I USED TO LOVE SHURO" and ended up re-reading all of Ayashi no Ceres and fell in love with her all over again. IIRC it was one of those things where I'd gotten permission to app that round with the intention of apping someone else, but it wasn't clicking, so I ended up apping Shuro instead... but it was very last-minute because of that, and I failed the first time. As usual.

Reason For Apping: For some reason I'm finding it really hard to put into words what I love about him, but I remember having to make a conscious effort not to mention that I was playing the game, because after the beginning of chapter 2 I knew I wanted to app him. I loved everything he said, I loved everything he did, whenever he wasn't onscreen I was wondering when he was going to show up again. I finished the game in a week, playing an average of nine hours a day (yeah, I know), because I wanted to have as much time to work on his app as possible. ... And then I almost didn't write it, because goddamn his voice is difficult, but I made myself do it anyway and I don't regret it.

Reason For Apping: I had someone I badly wanted to app for counselors. I'd been planning on it for more than a month, and I was so excited when it turned out I didn't have to wait until summer for the next counselor round and I got my activity up and got permission and... spent the next three weeks staring at a blank text document. I just could not write his app. Then over spring break I was playing Eternal Punishment and went "... man, I love Katsuya. I mean, I really love Katsuya. ... I could totally app him!" And then I was CONFLICTED, so I asked my flist for their opinion and they all suggested I go with the character I'd originally been planning on apping. So my resolve was strengthened! And I... went back to staring at the blank text document. Finally I went "oh, to hell with it" and scribbled out an app for Katsuya at 3 AM on Friday morning, thinking that it wasn't likely to get in, but hey, it couldn't hurt, and I could always reapp next time. I am, as it turns out, a poor judge of my own apps. Also, despite this being my only ninja app ever, it was possibly my most obvious.
Select Option 3? He's new, so I'm still in that "askdjfhakjd I love him so much and I want to play him all the time foreveeeer ♥♥♥" phase. I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN and I have awesome castmates, which helps. I mean, I do get nervous about Doing It Wrong, especially since it's a slightly better-known canon than most of my others (and when Persona 2 is your best-known canon, you know you have a problem), but people seem to think I'm doing okay, so.
