When the school district pays me, they actually need to PAY me. Last month they were over $100 short on my paycheck. This time they're over $400 short. I'm far from amused by this. I worked those days and I expect to be paid for them. -

Quitting Top Dog. Worked there for 4 1/2 months. I was promised when I was hired that I'd be working on Lakeshore Avenue which is two blocks from where I live. Instead I was put at Northside which is the farthest location from my house and has the worst tips and is the least well stocked. I could really use a handful of rats to pet the hell out of right now.
That will be my reward to myself for making it through the fall and finishing an incomplete class. I'm working for rats. I don't know how many. I guess however many I can stuff in my pockets and walk out of the store with. -

My lunch break came right in time because they were getting on my last nerve, and I am a patient person. -

Oh my God, do you know what's SO FUN?! Dealing with a paying customer who's off his meds and having a schizophrenic episode when you're the only one working the shop and he's putting his hand in one customer's face and then insulting a second customer!
Oh man. Good times were had by all. -
Things I'm not proud of.
1. The amount of Halloween candy I've eaten in the past few days.
2. By not locking the kitty door sooner I may have let raccoons into the house... Again. -

Esme got worse. She wasn't interested in food or water, not even when I put some chicken broth in the water to make it taste yummy. She was clearly in a lot of pain so I took her into the vet to have her put to sleep ( Read more... ) -

Izzy has either an ear infection, a brain infection, or a tumor, and she's in a lot of pain. The only way to know for certain would be to take her all the way to UCDavis to run hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of tests on her, which would just give a diagnosis of something that's, as far as I know, untreatable ( Read more... )
