If all of it were cool and surreal like this, I wouldn't mind the insanely massive amounts of Naruto fanart on the internet. Ideally, I think fanart should be appealing even to people who haven't seen the series. Chibi heads with circle hands don't cut it. -

I just finished it. My brain is melted, my arms are numb and shaking, my face is burning, I feel giddy to have finished it but also extremely unsettled and sick to the stomach because I read it in the first place. Laughing at people who write slashy fanfiction is an activity that I like to indulge in often. A good number of them lose their shit at the smallest suggestion that you don't masturbate furiously to their man-porn or read it as a great piece of literature. ...is hilariously offensive. I don't care that I, the reader, am white and have no right to say that it is. I don't care that the book is critically acclaimed as some sort of masterpiece. I don't care that there's some sort of deeper meaning. I just want to finish this book soon and I wish I didn't have to write my thoughts on it.
