Awhile back a couple of you expressed interest in a painting I've acquired. I finally got the negative scanned, and here it is. It's called Dark Angel, and measures about 4 feet by 5 feet. Hanging in my living room.

Went to a big fancy outdoor wedding last weekend; 300 people. I was asked to be an usher, so got all fancied up; lip service zipper pants, black vest, boots, studded bracelet, silver bolo, chains, rings, black nail polish. Returned from a week Penticton on Saturday night. It was hot out there; 42 on day of arrival (a bit lower in the days to follow). Now in many circumstances this might pose a problem, but to someone planning to laze in the shade on a beach while drinking peach smoothies; no problem ( Read more... )

I'm heading off to Penticton for the week. Found a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen right on the beach. It's going to be in the high 30's while we're there. So I'll likely stay in the cool water with a peach smoothie in my hand for the whole time. yay!
Consequently, I will not be making it to Chimera.. sniffle.

I'd been eyeing the site for a few weeks, wondering if I could capture a good night polaroid of the two construction cranes, high against a black sky. The long weekend was awesome. Went mtn biking in k-country at the start of the weekend. Excellent sunset, lots of mudholes, and I didn't notice the 'bear in area' sign until I was finished. Then, through a series of erroneous back's and refresh's, it was lost. I recently acquired a interesting oil painting. It's quite large; about 40 inches by 60 inches. Called, 'dark angel'. There are glimpses of classic architecture, swirls of colour, and a large dark-red wing shape. The paint on the angel is easily half an inch thick.. so thick it's cracked.
