Title: Moments
Pairing: Tegomasu
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance, Fluff, slight Angst
Disclaimer: I don't own the boys or anyone else in this story. Only the plot is mine.
Summary: It's basically quite simple: Masuda falls in love with Tegoshi and even though Tegoshi is in love with him, too, there are some problems and obstacles they'll have to overcome. It starts in November of 2006, shortly before their trip to Sweden.
A/N: Oh, Tegomass Fluff. I'm not capable of anything else. Excuse the fail. And between: I really do love Yamapi and Ryo; I know they're not getting enough attention in this fanfiction. It's just.... it's Koyama who found out, after all ^^
I'm rambling too much, I'm sorry. I hope you'll enjoy it <3

“Look now, Shige, look!”
The younger one sighed and lifted his glance for a moment from his book, looking up at the stage in front of him.
He saw the other four standing just a meter away from the steps where he and Koyama had sat down. Ryo looked bored, Yamashita interested in how the staff member were putting lines for the microphones, while Tegoshi was babbling something and Masuda was listening to him, a smiling expression on his face, as usual.
Nothing appeared abnormal to Kato.
“Do you see that?”, Koyama whispered and leaned in to him.
“What?”
“Tegoshi is talking, but no one listens to him”, the older one explained. “Only Massu.”
“It’s probably from interest for Masuda”, Kato stated.
But Koyama shook his head. “No, he listens. Because no one else would.”
“That’s probably because no one is interested in Tegoshi’s soccer stories, Koyama.”
“Soccer?”
Kato pointed at Tegoshi, moving his head slightly. “He was just talking about how one of his team mates fell last time and isn’t able to play for their next game, so Tegoshi’s going to take his position.”
Koyama looked at him for a second, indifferent. Then he sighed and rolled his eyes. “I hate how you always manage to take in everything around you even when you’re reading.”
The black-haired grinned and nudged Koyama’s shoulder with his before he read on in his book.
Koyama kept an eye on the younger two until Tegoshi was leaning to the side, resting his hand on Ryo’s shoulder, who just quickly threw him a look as he noticed the touch. Observing Masuda’s reaction precisely, Koyama couldn’t find anything suspicious; Masuda didn’t even look at them a second time, he just kept on talking with Yamashita after noticing.
“Everyone to their positions, please!”
Koyama got up and went over to the other side of the stage, followed by Tegoshi and Ryo. The other three remained at their spots.
“Okay, we’re going to practise your flying parts now. Get ready.”
Everyone got prepared, and Tegoshi was, as usual, joking around, singing nonsense into his microphone and teasing Koyama.
Yamashita was lifted up first and he made a few hand signs about the height, then Koyama was next, followed by Kato. Tegoshi helped Ryo to tie another cord, as Masuda was lifted next and they looked up at him, Tegoshi waving with a smile.
Masuda waved back and watched how Tegoshi was lifted next. It was only the five of them for a while, because Ryo still had some problems with his cords, so they started practicing like that.
Tegoshi passed Masuda in the air and reached out his hand; exchanging a high five and both of them laughed, before Yamapi was the next one who held his hand out for Tegoshi.
Just in the moment Tegoshi lifted his hand to meet Yamashita’s he suddenly lost height and made a surprised noise. He fell a few meters down, but it stopped about two meters from the ground and Tegoshi laid a hand over his chest. “Wah, that surprised me”, he mumbled and nodded as Yamashita asked if he was okay.
Everyone looked over at the staff, questioning what had happened, as again, Tegoshi fell, and this time, hit the ground.
“Tegoshi, are you okay?” Since Ryo hadn’t been up yet, he was the first one approaching the brunette.
Tegoshi laughed a bit and sat up. “Why is it always me falling?”
“That looked scary.” Ryo patted his head and looked up as Koyama was let down next to them, coming over and kneeling.
“Tegorin, does anything hurt?”
The younger one smiled at him and laughed again. “No, I’m okay. Probably my hand; I tried to hold up myself when I hit the ground.”
Koyama nodded and helped him to get up. Just in that moment, the other three made their way over, and a few staff member reached them.
“We had some technical problems. Is he okay?”
“Yu…” Masuda started but swallowed the name, because of the other ones. He didn’t stop a meter from them as Yamashita and Kato; he got straight to Tegoshi, gripping his shoulders. “Tegoshi.” He couldn’t say much more, but his eyes said everything.
“I’m okay, Massu”, the younger one smiled, but didn’t make Masuda take his hands from Tegoshi’s shoulders. It felt comforting.
Masuda was calmed by that smile, but could still see Tegoshi was pale from the shock. “It’s better you just let them quickly check you backstage. Just in case.”
Tegoshi knew Masuda worried for him way too much. He was okay, nothing was hurt, it hadn’t been that high. But because it was his Massu looking at him with those sorrowful eyes and begging him to go, he couldn’t refuse. “Okay, I’ll quickly let them check.”
Masuda looked relieved and nodded. “I’ll…”
“You guys can go on practicing, I’ll go with Tegoshi.” Koyama stepped forward and took Tegoshi’s arm, tugging him to his side. “
“But…”, Masuda started, but saw Tegoshi mouthing an It’s fine, so he held back and nodded. “Okay.”
“Well, everyone back to their positions then”, Yamashita said and he and Kato got back to the other side of the stage. “I hope no one else is going to fall again.”
Koyama looked back over his shoulder and saw Masuda looking after them with a sorrowful look on his face. He smiled at the younger one, before he put an arm around Tegoshi and drew him near.
“Does it really not hurt, Tegoshi?”
The younger one shook his head. “You guys worry too much. I’m really okay.”
“But when you say you want a check, something must hurt, right?” Koyama asked and looked at Tegoshi in anticipation.
Who didn’t notice at all. “I’m doing it for Massu.”
“For Massu?” Now, the redhead felt confirmed more and more in what he thought.
Tegoshi nodded. “He looked so scared and worried; they will check me, say I’m completely fine and Massu will be relieved.”
“Isn’t it lovely how much he cares for you?”
Still, Tegoshi didn’t get the hint at all. “Oh, it really is. Last time, he told me, at practice, Shige stumbled and hurt his foot. And Massu said to me ‘Shige-kun looked like it hurt so much, I wanted to carry him to the bench; because seeing him walking like that, it just looked too painful’. Massu cares a lot for us.” He laughed as he sat down.
“And you like him being like that, huh?” Koyama sat down next to him.
“Of course. Massu is so caring; he’s almost as nice as Keii-chan.”
Upset, Koyama leaned back and sighed.
“Eh? Did I say anything wrong?” Tegoshi blinked, but then got distracted as a staff member started to check on his ankles and joints. “No, it does not hurt”, he patiently answered the questions.
Koyama watched it and then nodded as the staff member said everything was okay and they could go back.
When they came back to the stage again, they’ve got prepared again and shortly after both of them were up at the same height as the others.
Practice went smoothly from then on and Tegoshi sighed in relief when he got down again. They all left the stage and Masuda secretly took Tegoshi’s hand to fall back behind the others. “Everything’s okay, Yuya?”
The younger one nodded. “They said nothing’s broken, and really, Massu, I don’t feel sore at all.”
“I’m glad then.” Masuda smiled at him and Tegoshi just wanted to lean in for a short peck, as Koyama peeked out of their room. “Are you two coming…” He stopped and frowned. “Why are you holding hands?”
Tegoshi directed his gaze at their hands, but Masuda pulled back. “It’s not holding hands. I was just holding Tegoshi back, because I had something to ask.”
“And you couldn’t just ask in here?”
Masuda hesitated. “No.”
Koyama lifted an eyebrow, then he got into the room again. “Tegoshi and Masuda have a secret from us.”
Ryo frowned. “I have a million secrets you guys don’t know. Fortunately”, he added.
Tegoshi and Masuda came in now and got over to their spints to change.
“What is it you don’t want us to know, Massu?”, Koyama asked and observed the younger one.
Masuda shrugged his shoulders, feeling uncomfortable. “It’s nothing, Koyama.”
“Then it’s no big deal to tell us as well.”
“Keii-chan”, Tegoshi said, his voice sounding more than annoyed.
“So you want to keep it as a secret, too!” The oldest one shook his head. “I’ll never be able to trust the two of you again.”
“Koyama, just stop it now. It’s enough already.” Yamashita was not less annoyed than Tegoshi.
Everyone turned to do their own business and just when no one looked anymore, Koyama could see Tegoshi and Masuda exchanging a look, a smile, a wink from Tegoshi.
He was sure, those two had something going on, but he couldn’t just out them like that. It would bring all of them into an embarrassing situation.
They had to out themselves, Koyama thought and while everyone around him left, he made plans in his head how he would make them.
“Koyama definitely knows. Or at least predicts what’s going on.”
Masuda nodded as he opened the door to his apartment. “He smiled at me in that way when he went backstage with you.”
“Which way?”
“Like… I don’t know”, Masuda said and titled his head. “Like he was asking ‘Are you jealous?’ He was so eager to escort you.”
“You should have heard what he asked me…” Tegoshi sighed and fell down to Masuda’s couch, closing his eyes. “About how much you care for me and whether I wasn’t happy about it.”
“Aren’t you?”
The brunette opened his eyes. “Of course, I am.”
Masuda sat down next to Tegoshi, ran a hand through his hair. “You sacred me to death today.”
“So, he managed to make you jealous after all?”
Masuda laughed and shook his head. “Not the slightest bit.”
Tegoshi leaned in and slightly pressed his lips against Masuda’s. He drew back a bit, smiled at him. “We have to be extra careful now, because of Koyama. We can’t let him find out any more.”
Masuda nodded, before he captured Tegoshi’s lips again. “I’ve wanted to do that all day long.”
“I’m not holding you back.”
They immediately stopped talking and both sank into kisses. Masuda trailed kisses down Tegoshi’s jaw line to his neck and as he pressed the younger one back against the cushions, they chuckled.
“You didn’t even take off your shoes, Yuya.”
Tegoshi grinned. “I forgot.”
“Hm… It’s me who will have to clean up after you later.” Masuda occupied himself with kissing the soft skin beneath Tegoshi’s ear, feeling him relax in his arms.
“I am too tired to think of things like that.” Tegoshi sighed and arched against Masuda. “Take me to bed, Massu.”
The older one smiled at him, robbed him another kiss, before he lifted Tegoshi slightly and carried him to the bedroom. Tegoshi tangled his arms around Masuda’s neck and put kisses all over his face, until they stopped in front of the bed and sank into a deep, wet kiss.
The door bell rang and Masuda drew back.
“Ignore it, Massu”, Tegoshi’s whispered, his breath hot at Masuda’s lips.
Masuda sighed, kissed Tegoshi again and lowered him to the bed. But as the ringing didn’t stop, he sat up over Tegoshi. “I just quickly shout at them to get lost already, because I really need to do my boyfriend right now.”
Tegoshi flashed him a grin as Masuda got up; then he gripped his hand and pulled Masuda down a bit, sitting up to meet his lips halfway. He gave him another intense kiss that lasted longer than it should have, while the door bell was ringing over and over again.
Tegoshi buttoned the top of Masuda’s shirt again, before he drew back from the kiss. “You’d better be really quick.”
Masuda nodded and then left the room, closing the door behind himself.
He hoped the visitor wouldn’t stay for long; it was probably just a courier and he wouldn’t notice Masuda’s current condition. Sometimes, the brunette thought as he turned the key, wide jeans were really practical.
But that thought disappeared and every other one in his head as well, as he opened the door and saw Koyama and Kato.
“What are you doing here?”
Koyama smiled at him. “You forgot your mobile phone in the changing room at the hall, Massu.”
“Oh.” Masuda stared at the cell. “Thanks for bringing it.”
“We’ve been to your house first, but your Mom said you were here tonight”, Kato said and pointed at Koyama then. “He wanted to give it back personally.”
“That’s nice”, Masuda answered and forced a smile. He knew it was impolite to not ask them to come in, but Tegoshi was in his bedroom and if they’d find out, both of them would be done.
A short moment of silence appeared, then Koyama said. “If it’s okay, could I quickly use your bathroom?”
It was so obvious and Masuda knew what Koyama was up for, but then he remembered Tegoshi had forgotten to take off his shoes. There was no proof he was there at all.
Masuda stepped back. “Of course. Come in, please.”
Both of them got in and took of their shoes. Masuda noticed Koyama checking the small shelf next to the entrance.
“It’s the second door on the left”, the brunette explained to Koyama. “Would you like to drink something, Shige-kun?”
The younger one nodded. “I’m sorry for coming here like this. But Koyama somehow insisted to.”
“It’s okay. I don’t have anything important to do, however.” What a huge, big, fat lie, Masuda thought as Kato followed him into the kitchen and he filled a glass for him.
“This is the first time I am in Massu’s apartment”, Koyama said as he came back. “It’s nice.”
“Thank you. It’s just for days like this one, though, when I need some time to myself.” He really hoped they’d get the hint.
“Tegoshi already told me that he often comes visiting you here”, Kato said, obviously not knowing in what situation he brought Masuda with his words.
“Did he?” Masuda smiled. “He sometimes comes over, that’s true.”
“He’s not here today?”, Koyama asked.
“Did you see him anywhere in here?”
Koyama laughed. “No, it’s just that somehow I got the impression you two were using this place to meet up.”
Kato laughed. “Koyama, you make it sound as if they were a couple.”
Masuda didn’t laugh and Koyama didn’t first, too. He looked at Masuda, then he joined Kato’s laughter. “No, no, you got it totally wrong.”
Masuda forced a laugh, too and turned then to fill another glass with juice.
“What are you drinking, Shige-chan?”, Koyama wanted to know. “Is it tasty?”
He wouldn’t get rid of them too soon, Masuda figured and handed the glass he had just filled to Koyama, who happily accepted it. He sat down next to Shige.
“Well, now that we’re here once we should talk for a bit, don’t you think?”
Masuda smiled and pointed at the door. “Why don’t we go to the living room, it’s more comfortable there.”
It was almost two hours later, when Masuda escorted them to the door, finally.
“See you tomorrow then, Massu”, Koyama chirped and opened the door.
Kato nodded and raised a hand.
As the door closed behind them, Masuda sighed heavily and leaned against it with his back. He then got back to the living room first, to at least bring the glasses and bottles back to the kitchen.
Then he made his way to the bed room, silently opening the door to peek in.
Curled up beneath the blankets, Tegoshi was sleeping in his bed; as usual on the side of the bed that he had already clamed as his. Masuda got to the bathroom and changed, before he turned off all lights and slid into bed beside Tegoshi.
He reached over him to turn off the small nightlight on his bed table, as Tegoshi shifted and then turned to him.
“Are they finally gone?”
Masuda turned off the light and pulled Tegoshi close then. “I’m sorry.”
“I’ve told you to ignore it.”
“I know.” Masuda ran his hand over Tegoshi’s back. “But it was just so distracting. I could not have known they would stay for an eternity.”
“You should not have let them in, in the first place. I was waiting for you.” Despite his words, Tegoshi nuzzled close.
“I didn’t have a chance, really. And Koyama would have gotten even more suspicious of us.”
“We need to hold back more when we’re with them”, Tegoshi said and shifted, until he was on top of Masuda.
The older one looked into his face, lifted a hand to his cheek. “It’s already hard as it is now. I don’t know how I should be able to act even less affectionate toward you than I’m already doing.”
“I know.” Tegoshi leaned in and kissed Masuda. “We have to catch up then whenever we get the chance to be alone.”
Masuda didn’t have much room to answer anymore, so he just nodded while his mouth opened for Tegoshi’s tongue.
He sighed and let Tegoshi take control of the kiss, of their game, of him. And his mind went blank when the younger one slightly moaned into their kiss.
Masuda opened his eyes, licked his lips, as Tegoshi drew back and looked at him.
“Catch up now, Massu.”
