HWD August comings and goings
Wednesday August 1:
Tony calls Bruce down to their lab to experiment with the ring pops. Science leads to drunken science leads to drunken science dares, and then Bruce finds out that after five minutes, at least one ring pop takes away the other guy. He celebrates by plucking up his nerve to kiss Tony while he still can, and then later, they have a more extensive celebration. It's a good day to be Bruce Banner.
Thursday August 2:
Ivy reveals to Bruce that the plants told her about the other guy. This conversation will soon be mysteriously forgotten by Bruce.
Handy and Tony send a robot down the endless hallway, and Tony gets pretty spooked. He calls Bruce down to help, and then Bruce and Handy wind up going to the library.
Later, Phil can't sleep because Clint's away with the tactical team, and he needs some company.
Friday August 3:
Elle is confused about the day of the week and Bruce offers to help inform her.
Saturday August 4:
Bruce goes to check up on Tony after all the scariness of the library the other day. He winds up handcuffed to Tony's bed because Tony doesn't want him getting eaten by a disembodied face. Bruce is grumpy about it, teaches Blue the Spanish version of the Toy Story song, and then things pick up.
Monday August 6:
Tony comes back from the tactical team mission, and he and Bruce quickly retreat to Bruce's room. Unfortunately, the ring pop has worn off, and Bruce doesn't notice until he and Tony start kissing. Even though Tony brought back ten more ring pops, none of them work; Bruce is immune, and he rather frighteningly retreats into his mind until Tony draws him out again. Everything finally clicks for Tony, and they both come clean about feelings. Bruce pretty much agrees to an open relationship, and everything goes better than expected.
In the middle of the Tony/Bruce thread, Tony leaves, and Bruce goes to help Kenzi find some replacement stuff from the storage room.
Tuesday August 8:
After Tony mentions to Phil that the ring pop wore off, Phil checks in on Bruce.
Eager for the ring pops to work again but unsure of just how much he could figure out on his own, Bruce solicits Loki's help, and they continue bonding over science and magic. Bruce has decided he can't in good conscious treat Loki meanly; a weird friendship is forming.
Wednesday August 9:
There are radios in the SHIELD lounge, and then there's an impromptu SHIELD meeting and Bruce's sandwich is hijacked.
Diana thinks villagers are coming for her, and that's a surefire way to get Bruce to worry about you.
Saturday August 11:
Elle is a tiny child, but she's still so very electrifying. Bruce runs to her aid, but gets zapped for his trouble. It was a case of mistake identity!
Bruce checks in with Martha and lets her know he's at least still able to reach the top shelf.
Bruce is a teenager and he calls Tony to see what he's like. He accidentally uses the 'boyfriend' word, but everything's weird and he feels vaguely like a child predator, but then they fix a microwave and no one's eyebrows get melded off. It wraps up with naptime, at least!
As it turns out, Kenzi is tiny too, and Bruce brings back snacks for her, which turns into an awesome party in Tony's room, with Handy too!
Bruce makes small talk with Loki because this is a thing he's trying, and then Loki reminds him of his offer to help Bruce with his anger. Bruce puts it off again, for now.
PHILLIAM. Thank God he's a teenager too. Besties forever.
Castiel is the littlest angel who could melt your eyes out, and he needs a hug.
Molly is in the teenager club!
Clint and Tony made some rocket shoes, and Bruce shows up just in time for the test flight. And to catch Clint as he falls to certain doom.
Sunday August 12:
Oh, nothing to worry about, just Tony calling for a fire extinguisher and nearly giving Bruce something a little worse than a heart attack. How're those stress levels, Bruce?
He's just trying to make sure Kur had always been a teenager but apparently he looks really familiar? Oops.
Bruce admits defeat and goes to accept Loki's offer of some anger management.
Clint's an adult again. Whatever, Clint!
Monster movie night with his best bro Phil! Turns into awkward movie night with his best friend Phil who accidentally kissed him.
Monday August 13:
Bruce just misses Mohinder, okay? So he responds to his message, and then heads down to their lab, where he meets a teenaged Eli Loker.
Sam sends out a message to Torchwood + consultants, and Bruce checks in letting him know he's reporting for duty whenever he looks his own age again.
Tuesday August 14:
Kenzi, Tony, and Handy get into a fight on the network, and Bruce checks in with her, and then calls her cute.
Wednesday August 15:
After their failed accidental makeout, Phil grows up, and Bruce says that's not fair. Then Clint nearly gives him a heart attack, Phil tells him in another time or place they could be fuck buddies, and Tony so isn't jealous, but he's definitely grossed out. And aged up... somewhat.
As promised, Tony drops by later. They decide to take the good while they have it, and Loki's trinket helps Bruce through some sorely needed tension relief, not that Tony realizes that.
Thursday August 16:
Bruce and Kenzi meet to hang out, and Kenzi tells him about sleeping with Tony. Bruce is upset, but more because he doesn't want either of them to leave him behind. Or, as Tony was worried about with Phil, that they might be ruined for Bruce.
Friday August 17:
Bruce promises Mohinder that he'll distribute the hand sanitizer, and then he announces it... and also asks for his missing purple shirt. ...And also gets sick. House tests him for strep, aka he collects the evidence he needs to find out about the Hulk. Loki unloads a little on Bruce, and Phil cuddles him. And Tony stays.
Clint invites everyone to a party even though they're sick.
Saturday August 18:
Kenzi visits Bruce and Tony for a little while before Tony kicks her out. And he tells Bruce that he's beautiful, that he couldn't take it if Bruce died, and that he should talk to House. Then he calls Kenzi back in because Bruce's fever spikes, and they reassure each other that they aren't going anywhere.
Bruce slips out to Clint's party and gets his purple shirt back. >:|
Monday August 20:
Tony dies. Bruce is there for it, with Thor and Phil and Loki. After Thor and Loki take Tony's body away, Phil and Bruce go to Bruce's room and try to deal with what just happened.
Tuesday August 21:
As promised, Bruce contacts House about his samples, and he tells him about the other guy, as well as asks to have a room in the medical center. It's less about feeling sick and more about needing to get away from the reminders of Tony.
Wednesday August 22:
It turns out that he was actually sick enough to need to be in the hospital, as Bruce suffocates on the fluid in his lungs. Phil and Kenzi are there, and then House and Mohinder, and then... the Hulk. Logan, sensing the Hulk's return, also comes to help.
Friday August 24:
The Hulk is still hanging around, and he accidentally announces his presence. So many people can't help but react, including: poor Mohinder who's still mourning Bruce, Clint who hadn't realized Bruce had died at all, Loki who takes the Hulk on a picnic date like one does, House who antagonizes the Hulk like House does, Laura who realizes he isn't always angry, Elle who is freaked the fuck out, Phil who is also still mourning Bruce, Daneel who is intrigued, Rose who is concerned, and Kurt who is puny. Hulk wins.
