One of the ladies on the August due date twins board I occassionally read just lost her babies. She was 23 weeks pregnant and went into preterm labor. Her daughter was born May 4 and lived until May 6. Her son was born May 6 and lived until May 8. On Monday, May 21, 2007, Lillian Page and Evelyn Michaela Mostaccio are scheduled to get their first glimpses of the "real world". We're not sure on the time, but probably in the morning. Well, we've been trying since Friday to schedule this weeks appointment at the maternal fetal specialists' office, but thus far have been unsucessful! I need to have the appointments made so we can schedule the steroid shots and the delivery! Well, lo and behold lucky me gets to be a gestational diabetic. ARGH. I failed two of the four numbers on the 3-hour test. I haven't updated this in a long time, but I felt it was time as so much has changed for us. It is now May and the babies are coming at the end of the month (if I can hold them in that long.) Had my ultrasound appointment today and have mixed emotions about the results. The babies grew in the two weeks, I just wish they were bigger still. One is 1.9 pounds, the other 2.2 pounds. Well, I was on bed rest most of yesterday and all of today so far. Only 8 weeks or so to go...I'm assuming they will keep me on bed rest, but I'm not certain on that. Well, if everyone on here who is religious can say a prayer to whatever God they believe in, now might be a good time. I was put on complete bed rest today due to a shortened cervix and I'm only at 27 weeks and one day with the twins. I'm praying I can hold them in until 34 weeks now. So if you all throw in your prayers for us, it might help!-Kate

I finally got ahold of my docs office today. The lady said that the twins ARE separated by membrane, and while they will play with each other, they are not actually right together.
