Just in case you’re new and wondering what the heck all this is about, I’ll explain. I gather all the links to all the fics, videos, fanart, etc posted within each month in one convenient location. This helps organize the fics and makes it easier to find certain stories or pictures. [= Simple enough!
Soooo, there’s a lot of linking and typing on my part, so if you notice any mistakes, missing/broken links, or incorrect information, don’t be afraid to point it out. Remember, the ever-awesome and all-knowing 9800andseagulls is doing the Fanfic Flashback! The latest one can be found RIGHT HERE. Get thrown back in time by exploring some of the best angst, fluff, smut fics, and Smoshy fanart that has graced our community. [= He only picks the best stuff, so you’ll never be disappointed with the quality fics and the fanart is always too great for words. ;)

STORY SUMMARY: Starting NOW, when using the provided story template, you MUST have an adequate summary. I know, I know…it is difficult to summarize sometimes. Do it anyway! If you don’t know what to say, use the most basic/boring/to-the-point sentence. If it is a fluffy piece about Ian and Anthony’s first kiss, for example, just say “Ian’s first kiss under the stars”. Simple as breathing. If you have a ridiculously complicated fic, you can still make a very basic sentence. For example, a multi-chaptered fic about Anthony the spy and Ian the drug lord where both boy’s paths cross in a dangerous, gun-fighting kind of way. The summary could be as simple as: “A secret service agent travels to Spain to stop a drug lord from taking over”. Yet again, simple, but leaves enough mystery to make someone want to read. Can’t think of a summary? Ask someone to read a paragraph or two and get their opinion on what a good summary would be. As with most of the rules here, not following this guideline WILL cause me to nag you and could lead to deletion. And no one wants that!
We’ll be adding some new author tags soon, so keep an eye out for that. ;) If you don’t know how to get one, you can read about that RIGHT HERE. I made that post a few months back but it still applies. To lessen the amount of author tags, we have to make the process a little difficult and insure that the contributor is here for longer than a few months. Even though we do have author tags for people don’t post here regularly (or at all, in fact) but most of those still have enough posts to justify having an author tag. We probably will review the tags, though, just to be sure we’re not wasting space by having inactive users with tags. >.>
