I have now safely returned from my trip to England. The purpose of my mission was to

1) gatecrash my friend J's birthday party
2) visit another friend J and her daughter J and to share some Swedish culture with them by giving them a cannon ball and earthenware bowl to grind mustard.

Mid-March I have a date with a mysterious man in a mask. It is also our tenth anniversary. Sort of. I'm seeing Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's in London. Merry Christmas everyone!

Tried boiling them this year, and then zapping them in the oven with glaze on, for a little while. They came out mouthmeltingly tender. But now I need to floss, the meat fibres stick between my teeth... That's about as interesting as my life gets today ( Read more... )

A cute rabbit statue from Japan.... it was really hot, and someone had placed this small figure of a rabbit with a fan outside their house. Such a quirky thing to do, and heartwarming.
