Since I've been on vacation and offline (and for those of you who I saw during that trip I had the most marvelous time!) I've been doing a little reading, and I'd forgotten how marvelous it is to read published work. Book Review: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
The ABA was in Los Angeles a week or so ago, and mom's friends came to town because they always attend (having a nice little bookshop of their very own in Sonoma.) Done, done, done
And I don't mean the opening three notes of Beethoven's Fifth. I'm done with jury duty. Whew! It was exhausting and I have an awful headache. Arguing is hard work, and it's amazing how very entrenched people can be when they make snap decisions.

Research
My favorite second-hand bookstore closed about a year ago. Now, there are only the big chains nearby, and while they're fine on occasion, I loved the crowded aisles and the stacks of books decorating every spare surface at my old store.
