Busy time the last week or so. My brother & sister-in-law stayed with us for a few days last week - they're over from Australia - it was brilliant to spend time with them, and Mum really enjoyed having them here. Finally finished my 30 pages of script, along with a commentary and synopsis. Got that submitted Monday afternoon. Great relief all round ( Read more... ) -

Christmas was quiet. Hit the doldrums on Christmas eve evening, but woke up re-energised on Sunday morning. Tuesday lunchtime, emmzzi arrived for a stop-over on her way back to the Midlands from Scotland. We did a mini trip to the sales, i.e. Lakeland and JJB Sports (new running shoes for moi), and then went to see Sherlock Holmes 2 in the evening. ( Read more... ) -

Last night went better than I feared (of course). I was really very, very nervous and I ended up being the first in the class to have their script performed, which was even more scary as no-one knew what to expect. The actors did really well at it - probably the oddest sensation was watching them act out my stage directions in the moments with no ( Read more... ) -

The scene I've written is being performed (and critiqued) in class by professional actors this afternoon. I'm utterly terrified. Presumably they're sitting around wondering why they have to do this, as it's such rubbish! But anyway. I shall gird my loins and go in. -
Oiling the writing wheels
Need to exercise my writing muscles a bit, and as posting last week seemed to get things moving I thought I'd try it again. Aside from that, I want to try and post some thoughts about the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead, which I watched last night. This usually doesn't go as well as I'd hope, so please bear with me.
