Thanks so much for all the well wishes.   The surgery itself ended up taking only about 15-20 minutes.   I was in a great deal of pain following the procedure so they did another sciatic nerve block.  I slept the majority of the afternoon.  By last night, I was eating some toast and then slept rather soundly until about 4 am.    The nerve block is ( Read more... )

After 58 days, the fixator is finally coming off.   Surgery at 12:30.  It should take an hour.    2-3 in recovery.    Tim will update at his myspace and mine, my mother will call Jencaha.    Pray for no complications.   Val, give me strength.

Nice, real nice.    3 years into recovery my body decides to freak out from all the years of praying to the porcelain god?   Fucking sucks ass, really.

Approval for "light duty"  It will allow me to be in the classroom and not be the one liable.    Chris will be there anyday I come in.   I will be able to transition the kids, guide the programming, plan.    My thought is to go in 1 day per week, and do the rest from home for a total of 12-15 hours.  That shouldn't interfere with any short term ( Read more... )

I go for surgery on Monday afternoon. There are many people who have expressed interest in knowing how I am doing. I can't ask Tim or my mom to call everyone, its too much. YEAH, I'm so excited. I just got tickets for Tim and I to see Blue Man Group for a good price and not too expensive. I heard on the radio this morning that they added a show on Monday Feb. 19.
