The playdate went really well. She is the first person (locally that is) who I have felt like I clicked with in a long time, finally a real person. Monday morning I couldn't find my horoscope, no internet access and the hotel newspaper didn't have it. I have always been antisnacking/treats for older kids. Because it encourages pickiness (by keeping kids from actually being hungry at mealtimes, is unnecessary, is expensive, and the constant asking of "can I have more ____" is very annoying.
