Any day now, these are gonna start getting really good. I suspect that will be when I get that new throat I ordered.

Next up in my recipe odyssey: chimichurri sauce. I threw that shit into some soy chorizo and threw that shit onto a bolillo roll. Then I ate it.

So, what a rad weekend that turned out to be.

Friday: Regular movie night at Sierra's was off because she was out of town, so I treated myself to another one of the "100 Favorite Dishes" meals I've been doing (which I'm sure you've seen on Facebook). So, today I made a grip of grub for Mother's Day. Brussels sprouts with olive oil and sea salt, mushrooms with a soy salt glaze, some boiled potatoes, and a whole mess of strawberry daiquiris. Then we watched "Billy Elliot." Am I the best son ever? Probably ( Read more... )

So, in addition to learning to cook, going to all the different restaurants on the OC Weekly "100 Favorite Dishes" list, trying to bike to Mordor and back, and all the other goofy projects I do to keep myself occupied, I'm teaching myself to sing/play the ukulele at the same time.
