Well, after I went to my appointment last thursday morning, they sent me to labor and delivery to be pumped full of IV fluids because I was very dehydrated.

So I was doing that until about 2pm, when we went home. I laid down to rest, and a few minutes later, awoke to my water breaking. Not a nice little trickle, but the big hollywood style gush. Oh ( Read more... )

My doc called right at lunch today. She just got the results from my 24 hour protein test today because she just got back from vacation. She decided I needed to come in to Labor and Delivery (since it's a holiday, you know) and get hooked up to the machine that goes "ping" and have them check out my blood pressure ( Read more... )

Mr. Panthy has been working his tiny little butt off working on finishing the nursery since he had the week off and baby will be coming soon.

Spawn is being bad right now. Very bad. We've been debating since yesterday if this is the onset of early labor or if something else is going on. Baby is kicking around at its usual times in its usual patterns so I'm not too terribly concerned (and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the contractions nor the pain yet), but tomorrow ( Read more... )

Well that was fun.

My BP was high according to them (I'm sure my rushing to get there on time didn't help) So they did a blood draw for Pre-eclampsia. I have zero other symptoms of it.

It went better than great. Mr. Panthy was reaching for the checkbook by the time we were almost done. He's totally convinced it's the right thing for us, as am I.
