In the countdown to the grand finale, this was a good episode in terms of content, just badly written in terms of ...well, writing. It almost felt as though the show knew it had such strong material that it didn’t need to make any effort in giving it decent dialogue.

So we come to the third and final episode of Quirke, and as a whole, I’m still not quite sure what I make of it. I certainly didn’t dislike it, and I thought Gabriel Byrne was fantastic in the lead, but I never really got invested in the characters or became engaged in the mysteries.
