Title: A Place In The Sun

Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. What does the summer and this trip have in store for them?
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.

"You can have the shower" Ueda said as they arrived back to their room. Ryo was still in a pretty bad mood, and hadn't said mush ever since he had finished of his scolding on his friends. "I'll just go and borrow Nakamaru and Koki's shower."
"Thanks." Ryo said with a nod and a small smile spread on his lips before he started free himself from the still wet clothes. He didn't seem to care that Ueda was still in the room, and that he was watching him. Ueda had seen Ryo half naked before, like on the beach only in his swimming trunks or when they slept and he was only wearing his boxers and a t-shirt, but Ueda had never seen Ryo standing in pink boxers who clung to his body like a second skin, due to the water, and that kind of made them fail their function on hiding Ryo's most private parts. When Ueda realized that he was staring he quickly grabbed a set of new cloths, said good bye and then ran out of the room.
When Ueda came back about half an hour later, after a rather cold shower to cool himself down a notch, he was greeted by the sight of Ryo lying on the bed in only his boxers, this time blue ones and a white t-shirt. He was watching TV but when he heard Ueda enter he turned his face towards the other.
"Welcome back" he smiled and then patted the place next to him with his hand. "Come and join me"
"Thanks" Ueda smiled back and walked over to the bed." What are we watching?"
"Haven't decided yet, I'm just skimming through the channels" Ryo answered as he placed an arm around Ueda as the other sat down next to him. "If we're lucky there might be some good movie playing. So what were the others up to?"
"Seems like Koki's going out to meet up with the girl from yesterday" Ueda answered with a smile as he made himself comfortable in Ryo's embrace. "And I think I heard something about Shige and Koyama doing the same"
"So no group thing planed then, right?" Ryo said and looked kind ofhopeful.
"Doesn't seem like it" Ueda smiled and then faced the TV where some kind of documentary about whales were starting.
"Good" Ryo said and faced the TV as well. "Good"
They didn't say anything for a while and continued to watch what turned out to be a pretty interesting documentary. Ueda felt so great lying there in Ryo's arms, it really felt like they were a couple and that thought made him happy. He looked away from the TV and turned his gaze upon Ryo with a big smile.
"What are you smiling about princess?" Ryo said as he apparently had felt Ueda's gaze and turned to face him.
"Nothing really" Ueda said and to his own surprise he didn't feel embarrassed at all at being caught. Their eyes locked for a moment and Ueda was almost certain that they would soon start lean in for a kiss, and this time no one would be able to interrupt them. He was right and before he knew it they started to lean in closer while closing their eyes in the process. His heart started to pound like crazy and he got all giddy. Finally!
"Tat-chan? Nishikido?" A voice rang though the door, a voice belonging to Junno, and they opened their eyes at once.
"Be quite, maybe they'll think we're not here" Ryo whispered, their mouths only an inch away from each others. Ueda nodded and then glanced over at the door.
"We know you're in there!" another voice shouted, a voice that clearly was Yamapi's. "We can hear the TV. Let us in!"
"Fuck" Ryo growled and let go of Ueda while he made his was over to the door. Ueda just sighed and sat up on the bed, dragging a hand through his still damp hair. Maybe they kissing were just not mean to be.
"What the hell do you want?" Ryo asked the intruders with a cold and harsh voice as he opened the door for them.
"What with the attitude?" Junno asked a bit taken aback. Ryo didn't answer him he just glared at the people in front of him; Junno, Yamapi and Nakamaru.
"Our TV is broke and there's this movie we really wanna watch" Yamapi answered Ryo's question as he walked past him and into the room. Junno followed him with a smile while Nakamaru looked rather awkward and apologetic, like he knew that they had disturbed something.
"So you came here to watch it?" Ueda asked.
"Exactly" Yamapi beamed and sat down next to him on the bed. "You guys don't mind do you?"
"Yes we do!" Ryo growled. "Why don't you crash somebody else's room? Or why don't you just stay at Nakamaru and Tanaka's room?"
"Their TV's broken too for some reason" Junno answered. "And everybody else is busy"
"That's too bad for you" Ryo said coldly. "I guess you'll just have to skip the movie and go to bed early"
"Don't be like that Ryo" Yamapi said almost pouting. "We brought food and drinks. It'll be fun"
Ryo was about to protest but Ueda was faster to reply.
"Okay, you can stay" He ignored Ryo's death glare. "It's not like we had any other plans, really."
"Thanks Uebo" Junno beamed and wrapped Ueda into a big hug. "You're the best!"
Ryo's glare got more intensive by Junno's action and Ueda quickly made him let go as to prevent Ryo to get even madder at him.
"So what movie is it that they're showing tonight?" Ueda asked trying to lighten up the mood.
An hour and a half later Ueda and Ryo was back on the bed, Ryo's arms around Ueda's shoulder and the movie was playing on the TV. The intruders had abandoned the movie quite quickly and were playing cards on the floor instead, the movie had been a disappointment for them. Around them shattered on the floor was a few cans of beer, empty and full, and some empty bags of what Yamapi had meant was food: crisps and other snacks.
"Ha! I won" Junno cried out in triumph and mocked the other two players.
"You must be cheating" Nakamaru said in disappointment. "There is no way you can win for the 5th time in row."
"I guess I'm just that good" Junno smiled as he collected everyone's cards again and started to mix them.
"This is getting boring" Yamapi complained. "Can't we do something else?"
"What about you guys clean up and then leave?" Ryo said from the bed making them all look at them.
"Aww, look at them" Yamapi said as he turned around and leaned his elbows on the bed. "Aren't they cute"
"Shut your mouth or I'll do it for you" Ryo snapped annoyed. "If you don't have anything better to do then just leave"
"Don't be such a party popper" Junno said as he started to hand out the cards. "Come and join us instead. It'll be much more fun if we're more people playing."
Before Ryo, or anybody else for that matter, had time to say anything more Ryo's phone started buzzing on the nightstand. Ueda who was closest leaned over and grabbed it; the name on the display surprised him.
"It's Ninomiya-kun" Ueda said as he handed Ryo the phone.
"Oh" Ryo said and grabbed the phone quickly as he jumped of the bed and almost ran to the bathroom. "I'll be back in a moment." He said as he closed the door.
"What was that about?" Ueda asked no one in particular and then got up and joined the others o the floor.
"No idea" Yamapi shrugged and then they all looked over at the closed door. "Maybe we'll find out later"
"Yeah" Ueda nodded. "Well, let's play now. Hand out the cards Taguchi"
Half an hour later Ryo was still in the bathroom and that started to worry Ueda a bit. What was he doing in there? Still talking with Ninomiya? What was it that he had to talk to him about that couldn't be heard by the rest of them? His gaze wandered over to the bathroom door every other second something that didn't really go unnoticed by the others.
"If you're so worried and curious then why don't you just knock on the door?" Yamapi suggested as the game ended with Junno winning once again. Everyone was convinced that Junno must've cheated but they had no evidence and therefore couldn't push the matter any further.
"I can't do that" Ueda said turning his gaze towards Yamapi. "What if he's still talking on the phone? He'll get annoyed with me if I disturb him."
"Of course you can knock" Yamapi said rolling his eyes at Ueda's lame excuse. "I can do it for you if you want, but I'm more likely to get killed by it than you"
"He'll probably be out any minute, so there is no need to knock" Nakamaru cut in. " If he's not out in another 10 minute, then you'll knock."
"Yeah, you're right" Ueda said smiling over at his band mate.
"But you said it was from Ninomiya-kun right?" Junno said looking up from the cards he was mixing. "I had no idea that they we're good friends like that."
"They've been pretty good friends ever since Ryusei no Kizuna" Yamapi explained. "But I had no idea that they would be able to have long talks like that. And especially not now since he's been spending so much time with you Ueda"
"What do you think they're talking about?" Ueda asked, once again looking over at the door but before anyone could answer his question Ryo opened the door and walked out.
"You! You! And You!" He said pointing at Yamapi, Nakamaru and Junno. "Leave now or I'll kick you out head first"
"What? Why?" Yamapi protested. "You have to give us at least one good reason why we should leave"
"You want a reason?" Ryo said as he slowly walked closer with a look that almost scared Ueda. "How about saving your life? If you wanna spare your life then I suggest you'll start moving."
"That's not a good enough reason" A stubborn Yamapi said crossing his arms with a grin playing on his lips. Ueda thought that Yamapi probably got a kick from seeing Ryo all mad and annoyed with him. Junno and Nakamaru seemed more afraid of Ryo's wrath as they started to pack their stuffs together and getting up from the floor.
"Are you suicidal or something?" Ryo growled and would probably have jumped onto Yamapi if Ueda hadn't been quick enough to get a hold of him.
"Calm down Ryo" Ueda said quite scared of the way Ryo was acting. "I really don't think that killing Yamashita-kun is a really good idea"
"Come on" Junno said taking a hold of Yamapi's arm and dragged him up from the floor. "I think we should leave them alone." For once Junno seemed to be able to read the atmosphere quite well.
Yamapi didn't protest he just smirked at Ryo who was still held back by Ueda's firm grip as he walked out the door that Nakamaru was holding open.
"Goodnight" Nakamaru and Junno said with a light bow before they followed Yamapi out the door.
"Goodnight" Ueda replied with a slight smile before he let go of Ryo since Yamapi was now at a safe distance.
"What the hell was that just now?" Ueda asked Ryo as he sat down on the bed. "Was it really necessary for you to act that way towards our friends? They really haven't done anything wrong"
"Nothing wrong?" Ryo snorted. "Yeah right, they've done everything wrong the whole day"
"What do you mean by that?" Ueda said confused as Ryo sat down next to him.
"They've gotten in the way." Ryo said putting his hands on both sides of Ueda's head and turning it to face him. Ueda's eyes widen in surprise at the sudden action but couldn't get a word out. "They've stopped me from doing this"
And with that said Ryo placed his lips unto Ueda's and slowly started to kiss him. Ueda was in shock at first but soon enough he gained his conscious back and melted into the kiss. He opened his lips slightly letting Ryo slip his tongue in and deepening the kiss. The kiss was different from their first three kisses, different in a good way and Ueda figured it must be cause of the fact that there was true feelings put into this one.
"I hope you don't expect me to give you a long confession speech where I tell you how much I like you" Ryo said after they broke their kiss and a grin spread across his lips. "Cause I won't"
"I don't expect anything from you" Ueda smiled while panting slightly from the kiss. "You've already told me once before and that's enough for now"
"Huh?" Ryo said and arched his eyebrows in confusion. "I've never said that. You've must've been dreaming princess"
"You told me the first night we spent together." Ueda smiled at the memory, even though he knew that Ryo probably hadn't meant it in that way back then but he had still said it. Ueda's answer didn't make Ryo any less confused and the look on his face was too irresistible for Ueda not to just lean in for another kiss.
