I love it so much. Not only because it means we get to see a Nathan/Haley scene but because to me it just goes to show how everything in her life comes back to him. Like if you were to ask her, "Why are you so emotionally unavailable to other guys?" if she was being honest she'd have to say "Nathan. Of course."
The "Of course" to me just seems so natural, so fitting, because of course it's about Nathan. She might have tried to deny it for five years but when she saw him again after all that time, well her reaction pretty much speaks for itself. "Why were you laughing hysterically?" "Why do you feel so uncomfortable?" Nathan. Of course
( ... )
Yeah, of course it was Nathan, right? I mean, who else? Because for Haley, what else would it come down to? Nothing but Nathan.
Haley definitely still cares. Maybe she won't acknowledge to herself how much she cares or even why she cares, but it is there and she does. I think that in some way, coming back to TH must have felt like a regression for her, especially since she was so good at denying her feelings and pretending that she was over everything. Telling herself, even, that she was over all of it.
Nathan is sooo resolved. Poor Haley, how is she going to stand up to that? :)
Thanks, Paulina! I shall update tonight or tomorrow!
I meant to reply to the last chapter but this one was already posted so I figured I reply to both of them here. Last chapter was very good. I loved how you wrote Haley being uncomfortable towards Nathan. I definitely think she has every right to be and I'm glad she was still wary of Nathan as she should be. And I'm just... baffled with what's going on with Nathan. The details that you're writing with his mannerisms is curious. I just want to know what is going on with him. He realized he's made a mistake, and it seems he wants to rekindle his relationship with Haley but I don't know the exact reason why (unless it's just because he's never stopped loving her). I'm just wondering what happened in his college years, especially when he got angry about something he thought Lucas told Haley. And very interesting in the end where you said he looked "resolved." I can only imagine what that means for Haley

*cough*I'm a dope!*cough* No, really, Becky told me to fix that bit of continuity, and...well, I didn't! So really, there is just one "incident of horror", and it happened at the RC. And um, perhaps I'll go back and fix that...heh.
Anyway. Nathan is definitely resolved. He knows what he wants, and he's going to get it no matter what he has to do or where he has to go. A lot has happened to him in the five years they've been apart, and I think he eventually got to the point where he realized what he wanted, what was best for him, and now he just has to go out and get it.
The wait won't be too long. I'll try and post tonight or tomorrow! Thank you for your comments, I really appreciate it!
Ah! another update, oh how you make me happy :) I absolutely love this chapter, I love how bit by bit we're exposing more of the characters, more of what they've been through and put each other through. I can't believe you left us with another build up for a naley scene! I mean, I guess I can believe it...lol. Anyways, it was brilliant, I'm entirely looking forward to an update and soon, yes? :D Great job!
Yay for an update! I'm so loving this. I'm a sucker for your writing, regardless, but I especially love ones where we just have to wait to find out all that happened. It really does make it that much more interesting, IMO, and I like trying to figure it out on my own, even when I just don't have enough info. to do so. Like, I wonder if Nathan- Or did he- Or! LOL

Yay for updates indeed! I'm just happy that I can finally provide them again, you know? It's been sooo long, and all!
Uh oh, is 'resolved' becoming overused? Are we going to have to jokingly call it the 'R word' now? Hee! But he is, he really, really is! And as I'm working on new chapters of TL, I too have noticed the similarities. Hopefully that doesn't get boring!
Isn't that the most depressing part of it, that Haley had to think it happened all that time? You always imagine the worst anyway, but considering all that happened between them, that has got to be so painful.
I'm glad the HPL is fun, since I'm enjoying them, too!
Okay I'm addicted now. This chapter totally did it for me. I love that Nathan is so determined to get her back, in a sick way I'm actually kinda hoping Haley *will* try to date, just! because I'd love to find out just how resolved Nathan is & what he'd do in that situation.
Gotta admit! I was a little wary of it all at the beginning because of the whole "Nathan cheated on her with Braless Brooke?! yuuuck" because I didn't know if I could forgive Nathan for that. Yes I usually try to chanel Haley's feeling on fics, even moreso with fics from her perspective. I'm pathetic enough to admit it. So, this chapter was a tall glass of water. Not that it still doesn't suck for Haley & that she should let him off the hook for being stupid enough to make out with Brooke in the first place, though!
Lolz. I'm glad that this chapter grabbed you, but I guess a determined, dedicated Nathan can be pretty persuasive, huh? :) And that is a sick way, by the way! Hee!
I knew that I was risking a huge turn-off for a lot of readers...I did, and I was warned that I was, but at the same time, I did it anyway, obviously. Hopefully most people can forgive me and let it get put behind us so we can move on to the real story quickly enough!
