Will they choose correctly and spread Christmas cheer, or will their ambition get the best of them? All this and more in the all-new "Extraordinary Merry Christmas" episode of GLEE airing Tuesday, Dec. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-309) (TV-14 D, L)

Guest Cast: Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans; Damian McGinty as Rory Flannagan

28Nov Lea: Morning! Back at work and shooting an amazing scene for our Christmas episode with @chriscolfer @DarrenCriss and @MsAmberPRiley :)
29Nov tvline: Finn and Santana bury the hatchet for good. (Or at least for good for now.) He asks her to help him pick out a present for Rachel, she talks him out of a necklace (a gift she claims sends the wrong message) and into a pair of earrings. The hour will pay homage to the classic (and ubercheesy) holiday specials of the ’60s, complete with classic Yuletide scenes, an over-the-top announcer and way-over-the-top costumes (e.g. Rory as Itchy the Christmas Elf).
05Dec GleekGenica: #trevorlive scoop... @AdamAnders says the xmas episode uses 10 out of 12 christmas songs. its jam packed with music from start to end!

17Nov ausiello: An upcoming episode will feature Rihanna’s current No. 1 smash “We Found Love”
18Nov Alex: Chris just left the studio.
22Nov Ausiello: Sources confirm that the first episode back in January is titled “The Proposal.” Those same sources also reveal that the episode is a big one for (drumroll, please) Will and Emma!
24Nov gleeitalia/tumblr: The episode could be called ”The Proposal” but there is still no final confirmation.
As we mentioned earlier there will be dance scenes inspired by India, Bollywood, involving Kurt and Brittany, or the likely presence of a new guest star. Samuel, I remind you, will debut in this episode. Will play the cousin of Puck.
Something important will happen between Will and Emma:
# This episode is Supposed to Be for Big Will and Emma.
# Will and Emma are Confirmed to get engaged in the episode.
# They have sex before or May in this episode.
The songs:
* I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Sung by Santana.
* From This Moment On by Shania Twain. Sung by Finn and Rachel.
* Hopelessly Devoted to You by Olivia Newton John. Sung by Quinn.
* Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes. Sung by Will and Emma with Beiste and Sue.
* Do not Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John. Sung by Mercedes and Sam.
* Hungry Eyes by Eric Carmen. Sung by Kurt and Blaine.
* Take a Chance on Me by ABBA. Sung by Artie, Puck, Tina, Mike and Brittany. Nope. Regurgitation and imagination.

29Nov tvline: Sam joins the Synchronized Swim Team - in an effort to win back Mercedes! A quartet of yet-to-be-cast characters - all of which have the potential to become recurring: Coach Roz Washington, for which the show is seeking a well-known comedic character actress in her 30s or 40s. Synchronized Swim Team members Webber, Charles, and Vinny, who are respectively described as “a nerdy looking girl” of any ethnicity, “a handsome African-American boy,” and “a nerdy looking boy” of any ethnicity.
29Nov Lea: Finally home after a very long day. Finished our Christmas episode! Tomorrow we begin a new episode that's filled with many more surprises!

29Nov Alex: Kevin and Chord have already knocked out their parts today. Damien and Mark are next up.
30Nov Lea: Big day today! At the studio now about to record 3 songs!!! Solo, duet and a girls number! So excited! Let's do this @alxanders!!

03Dec Chord: So excited for Tuesday!!!! Can't wait to shoot this scene w @CoryMonteith @Mark_Salling @DarrenCriss @ericstoltz @druidDUDE @chriscolfer (Scene was changed when Chris asked RM if Kurt could sing with the girls.)
05Dec Kristin: Sam wants to get a letterman jacket, he bonds with Rory. Damian's role extended for unknown duration.
05Dec fyeahgleecast: They're filming at Venice high school today and tomorrow, the same place where Grease was filmed.
06Dec fyeahgleecast: Confirmed: They are, in fact, paying homage to Grease. Not sure yet which song(s) they're doing.
06Dec Lea: Recreating a scene from one of my favorite movies growing up for #Glee today!
06Dec kurt_blaine: Pics of the boys shooting Summer Lovin.
06Dec Billboard: Dianna doing a song she never thought she'd get to do, Quinn getting it together. Rory possibly getting a gf in the new term. Mike maybe getting another solo.
06Dec zimbio: Mike and Tina picnicing on the grass as if it weren't January in Ohio (flashback?).
06Dec fan report: Summer Lovin video snippet.
07Dec yahoo: Despite Sam's abs (which will be on full display when he joins McKinley's synchronized swimming team in an attempt to win Mercedes back), Shane's got the edge. The two boys will finally come face to face, but the showdown won't last long. "We just shot a scene where I'm talking to Mercedes, and Shane just grabs her mid-conversation and they walk away together," Overstreet reveals. So, without a word, Shane shows Sam who's boss? "Basically," he says.
07Dec Tribute: Lea: shot an underwater musical number.
07Dec ONTD: Nene Leakes seen on set, likely is swim coach Roz Washington.
07Dec Jason Sweer: New WHMS hockey poster.
08Dec Lea: Shooting a very epic #Finchel scene...
09Dec Access Hollywood Lea did a David Guetta song that's on the radio now.
10Dec gleezone: Mr. Schuester contemplates proposing to Emma; Sam tries to win back Mercedes; Becky Johnson sets her romantic sights on Artie.
13Dec IWYW: Filming pool scenes today.
13Dec Ausiello: The proposal is wet and involves a big dance.
14Dec Fan report: the song is ‘We Found Love’. The suits they wore were nautical themed. But, Matt Morrison was wearing a white tuxedo. Jayma Mays was there also. The number is on a clear platform that was put on the pool, so the cast isn’t all swimming, but dancing on top of the water. I didn’t see Amber Riley around. I’m not sure if she didn’t leave the pool or she wasn’t there. The Warblers were there too, but they were filming in one of our gyms. (Wonder if the Warblers were shooting for 11 and ND for 10?)
21Dec tvline: Helen Mirren doing "inner voice" voiceover.
03Jan spoilertv: When Will tries to plan a special surprise for Emma, he enlists the glee club to help him sweep her off her feet. Meanwhile, Becky sets her sights on Artie, and Finn makes an announcement about his life plans after high school that surprises the glee club.

Guest Cast: NeNe Leakes as Coach Roz Washington; Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans; Damian McGinty as Rory Flanagan; Mike O'Malley as Burt Hummel; Dot Marie Jones as Coach Beiste; Vanessa Lengies as Sugar Motta; Lauren Potter as Becky Johnson; Romy Rosemont as Carole Hudson-Hummel; Graham Kurtz as Vinny; Patricia Raven as Webber; Valerie Mahaffey as Rose Pillsbury; Don Most as Rusty Pillsbury; Rock Anthony as Rick the Stick; LaMarcus Tinker as Shane.

04Jan Kaley: Two song spoilers for 3x10: cee lo green - old fashioned and paloma faith - upside down. Nope.
06Jan tumblr: Without You
Wedding Bell Blues
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
Summer Nights

11Jan THR: A "shocker for the people in relationships" in Tuesday's episode in addition to flashbacks of when all the couples -- including Mike and Tina, Finn and Rachel as well as Sam and Mercedes -- first met. "There's another couple on the show that are making a big step as well, it's not just Will and Emma."
12Jan Ausiello: 1. The Helen Mirren nagging mystery is solved in first five minutes, and not in the way that I thought it would be. (And for once, I’m glad I was wrong!)
2. Sam and Mercedes recount their months-long fling with a rousing rendition of “Summer Lovin’.”
3. Michael Chiklis gets a shout-out from Sue. Ditto David Boreanaz. (The latter fares better than the former, but both are equally hilarious.)
4. One couple elopes, and you’ll never guess which one. (Although, hey, you’re welcome to try. Hit the comments below… )
5. Not only do we get to see Emma in a wedding gown, we get to see Sue and Bieste as her bridesmaids. One of their dresses is really pretty. The other two? Erm…
6. We called it! A new triangle (sorta) takes shape between Becky, Artie and Sugar! In other Becky news, she has a scene with the kinder, gentler Sue that is probably my favorite ever.
7. Finn gets some rather traumatic news about his [SPOILER] that will have serious implications on his future.
8. Sue checks the chip on her shoulder long enough to play guidance counselor to Artie. And - shocker - the role suits her.
9. NeNe Leaks’ cameo as Sam’s synchronized swimming coach isn’t the worst thing ever. In fact, she’s pretty funny. Upon meeting Sam for the first time, she sasses, “I’ve never seen lips like that on a while child.”
10. Artie gives Will some advice on proposing to Emma, then schools his teacher with a seamless-sounding mash-up of “Moves Like Jagger” with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
11. Will chooses [spoiler] as his best man.
12. Santana, Rachel, Mercedes and Tina sing “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and flash back to meeting their respective sweethearts, Brittany, Finn, Sam and Mike. (Britanna fans, prepare to hit the rewind button a lot.)
13. When Will asks Emma’s parents for permission to marry her, it goes about as well as it might have if he’d asked Sue if he could become a Cheerio. Later, he and Emma have an especially moving moment. (Jayma Mays nails it!)
14. The episode climaxes with an amazeballs synchronized swimming number, with the whole gang performing Rihanna’s “We Found Love” in McKinley’s swimming pool as part of Will’s surprise proposal. It must’ve taken forever to shoot this thing, and you know what? It was worth it. It is ridiculously over the top. Unbelievably cheesy. Crazy romantic. And you’re gonna love every second of it. (I sure did.)
15. And just when you think the episode is over, there’s an outta nowhere twist that will have [SPOILER] ‘shippers calling an emergency meeting.

12Jan tvguide: 1. How many times is the question popped? At least three people make the grand gesture. THREE! Only one gets an answer. And that, kids, is how you spell cliff-hanger.
2. Oh, and someone comes back to school already hitched. Surprise! The epiphany happened at Taco Bell and the knot was tied over the holiday break, elopement-style.
3. Why, it could be Grease lightnin'! No, the glee club isn't mounting a spring production of the deliciously raunchy musical (darn!) but this week's episode does kick off with a special, shot-by-shot remake of the oh-so-swoony "Summer Lovin'" - and you get only one guess as to which couple might be reminiscing about what happened over those months. Of course, Kurt and Santana split the role of Rizzo.
4. The week's whiteboard assignment? Romance Emma. Mr. Schue will enlist the kids to help him romance the socks off Emma. (It's Glee - get over it, people.) Fortunately, these kids do the most awesome job ever. (If you've the scoured the Internet for the playlist, you already know it's going to sound good, top to bottom.) Ultimately though, only one of the ideas - Sam's wet and wild one - will get the job done.
The best and worst performances on Glee (so far!)
5. Mercedes kinda sorta totally makes her mind up about Sam and Shane. How? She'll be singing one of the best love songs and the winning guy's face just pops into her head - not that she's prepared to do anything about it immediately.
6. Here's something Helen Mirren gets to say as the inner voice of [SPOILER!]: "Lay off, haters. OK, get realz." Right?! OK, OK, here's one more: "No Chang do - I'm no rice queen." Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Mirren hit the recording studio...
7. Speaking of Chang: Artie + Mike = Gold. First, they gave us "PYT," and now they get to move like Jagger. Swoon. We can't wait to see them reunited again in the Michael Jackson episode. A certain Warbler is going to give them something to, ahem, scream about.
8. Coach Sue spends the entire episode being supportive. You read that right. It's like she's still got the Christmas spirit running through her veins or something. And get this: All of her advice is about how to handle relationships. Just call her McKinley's new guidance counselor! The question is: How long can it last?
9. Finn gets some deeply troubling information from his mom. It's going to turn his world upside down and propel him to make a life-changing decision. The good news? Finn and his mom will break your heart into a million pieces and that's always welcome. (No college fund?)
10. Someone's got a nipple that's lower than the other. And it's really going to weird out guest-star NeNe Leakes Coach Roz. Also a no-no? Pee in the pool.

12Jan Eonline:Break out the tissues. And a bucket. And a paper bag to breathe into.
If you are a fan of Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays), or Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele), the next episode is sure to put you through the emotional wringer.
I just watched this Tuesday's episode of Glee, and here's what you need to know:
This episode is probably the best ever for both Jayma (Emma) and Matt (Will). Expect a good cry!
There's a surprise wedding that officially stops a previous love triangle dead in its tracks.
I weirdly predicted where the proposal would take place when I talked to Matthew Morrison for this video interview the other night. Spooky!
Will will reconsider his feelings for Emma, whom he's not sure can handle marriage and motherhood given her OCD condition.
Cory Monteith has perhaps his most dramatic scene yet of the season, in which his mother gives him some heartbreaking news he does not take well.
Becky, Artie and Sugar have a love triangle. So that's what Kevin McHale was talking about here...
A sweet moment for Sue involving "television for ovaries" and Becky that is one of her sweetest and greatest yet.
A surprising (truly surprising!) proposal.
A great Brittana moment (it's just a glance in the locker room, but reminds us how great the Heather Morris-Naya Rivera chemistry is!).
Rachel sings Rihanna's "Without You" to Finn and it's fantastic, but not as fantastic as Santana's response.
Artie, Mike Chang and Will perform a really fun mashup of "Moves Like Jagger/Jumpin' Jack Flash that makes me stand by my mike-drop protest of Matthew Morrison not appearing in the Michael Jackson episode.
Nene Leakes is actually pretty great as the synchronized swim coach, making fun of Chord Overstreet's nipples. (Nipple humor, all the rage.) Sam is joining the synch-swim team so that'll mean a lot of wet, scantily clad scenes for Chord, to the horror of female fans everywhere.
Finn and Rachel fans, you have my word that you will not be disappointed.
So much Will and Emma goodness, you will wonder why we haven't seen more of them this season. The episode almost makes up for it. Almost.
Oh yeah, and the last five minutes? They're gonna drop a shipper bomb on you!

12Jan EW: The episode opens with Sam and Mercedes taking lead on “Summer Lovin’” from Grease; Santana and Kurt, naturally, both take on the catty Rizzo portions.
Helen Mirren voices the internal monologue of one of the characters and it’s AH-MAZING.
Emma sings “Marry Me Will” with back-up assistance from Beiste and Sue; it’s the weirdest girl group EVER.
NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta makes her first appearance as the swim team coach Roz Washington. Her initial introduction to Sam is laugh-out loud hilarious.
There’s a gratuitous Chord Overstreet bathing suit moment. You’re welcome.
Finn contemplates joining the army which brings up a secret from his past and the return of his mom and Burt Hummel.
The boys of New Directions’ take on Maroon 5′s “Moves Like Jagger.”
Will is in a tank top. You’re welcome.
You see Emma in her wedding dress complete with bridesmaids… who are somewhat of a surprise.
Becky decides that she’s going to make Artie her boyfriend.
Rachel, Mercedes, Santana, and Tina perform Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” and one of them reveals that she may in fact be in love with someone who’s not her current significant other.
Emma’s horrible ginger-loving parents show back up.
Emma gives an emotional, heart-wrenching speech to Will about their future together.
Rachel sings a cover of David Guetta’s and Usher’s “Without You” to Finn.
The entire cast is involved in a climactic version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love” that is both exhilarating, romantic, and emotional. Oh, and most of the cast is in bathing suits. Okay, it’s a synchronized-swimming number. And I may have cried during it.
The final minutes have a HUGE, GIANT, PLOT TWIST. I can’t reveal it but, Gleeks, you will be stunned.

Finn and Rachel duet "I Just Can't Stop Loving You."
13Dec IWYW: Today they’re filming “Smooth Criminal”. It’s a dueling cello arrangement. I believe Naya is singing lead on it, but I am not 100% sure of that. (She was definitely there for the scene’s filming.)
13Dec zetaboards: Okay they are filming smooth criminal today and it's sort of a "battle" duet between Santana and that new warbler. Heard Naya sing and she of course is fabulous. Also I'm not 100% sure but Santana may see the bottom end of a big gulp in the near future. Yep rumor has it she's getting slushied again. (Unsourced, but supported by Naya tweet below.)
13Dec Naya: Just finished doing an amazing song with the extremely talented @grantgust This kid can dance!!

14Dec Lea: Dalton was awesome! But we have a looong night ahead of us! Me @chriscolfer @CoryMonteith and @DarrenCriss are on our way to Blaines house! (For 10 or 11?) Fan pics. They're in pajama pants, filming at Elks Lodge.
15Dec Lea: Been working all day and it does look like we're gonna be stopping any time soon! Looks like and all nighter to me!!
15Dec CurtMega: Video of Chris practicing punching and kicking. (It looks like the slushie practice mannequin, and it's at about Blaine-height.)

Still looking for Rachel's dads, and Elton John isn't available. Quinn will be the first of the kids to learn her after-graduation fate. MJ episode has a lot of Sebastian and the Warblers. RM says the episode runs long.
05Jan Keck: Black or White will feature Mercedes, Santana, Rachel, Artie, and Kurt. The number will include face morphing.
05Jan Keck: Something bad happens to Blaine, and it's Sebastian's fault. (An injury that takes him out of the next ep?)

05Jan Keck: Kurt is featured in "Bad", which is a face-off between ND and the Warblers.

17Jan E!: Rachel's fiancé (whoa?!) confirms he is staying on the show past this season! "I will be graduating from William McKinley High School and I will be returning to Glee in season four."
17Jan tvguide: Rachel answers in song, it is a definite answer. But, you know how kids are. I don't think it's going to be as simple as they think. I suspect there's more down the road. Her answer is shocking, I can tell you that. There's one stirring scene in particular with Finn and Kurt - a "I thought we were supposed to be brothers" moment. Scenes with Chris and Lea, scenes with Burt and Carole, those are the great scenes!... Those are really where a lot of the better acting gets done, not to say anything bad about the other scenes. One of the most exciting things about Finn's proposal is that implies that a lot of good stuff will be coming down the road for Finn and Rachel and his parents and Kurt and everybody.

30Jan gleezone: Q: Does Rachel say yes or just sing? A: Both.
30Jan gleezone: Q: Is there any interaction between Kurt and Blaine during Ben outside of Kurt just singing to him? We're curious because if Finn and Rachel are there too then any private, couple moments are kind of limited. A: Kurt goes tell him about NYADA
30Jan gleezone: Q: Does Rachel cry at any time in the episode? A: Yes, not happy tears. Kurt is in the scene.
30Jan gleezone: Yes there are K&B moments.
30Jan gleezone: Q: Any hints about who gets into NYADA? Kurt, Rachel or both? We're dying here. A: We find out who’s the finalist.
