When I first came to Humboldt county, this simple ranch house was the first place I stayed. My friend Kent lived there along with two or three other roommates. Cape Mendocino is the westernmost point of land in California. The road out there - appropriately named 'The Wildcat' - is one of my favorite drives. The cityscape of Water Street in Mobile, Alabama changed dramatically between 2003 and 2006 with the construction of the RSA Tower, Alabama's tallest skyscraper.
