I had an incredibly relaxing day yesterday just being at one with nature. Some people think LA’s beaches are crowded and dirty.  Not so. You just need to know where to go, and it doesn’t require driving to Malibu.  I actually took an express bus to Santa Monica. Not much to report.  I was stuck at 149-150 which I think is a little less than last time I posted.  I was telling a friend I think it's a pretty healthy weight for me and not too thin.  Then I said, what's happening to me??  "Too thin" and "healthy weight" were two word combos that didn't exist in my vocabulary before.  ha!

10 weeks today, which was the time I gave myself to get back into shape.  Not exactly where I want to be, but I’m happy. I finally got on the scale at the gym and clocked in at 158.  I remember when I used to freak out if I got into the upper 140s and don’t think I ever crossed over 150 before this weight gain. Yesterday was 8 weeks since I went back to the gym.  This is the first time in my life I’ve ever needed to lose weight, so this was new to me and entirely different from the past where hitting the gym was simply a way of life much like running or bike riding for exercise is for others. After almost 5 years of sitting in front of a computer 12 to 15 hours a day (sometimes more) combined with the parental care issues I was dealing with, I had no time to think of taking care of me. My last day at work is Feb. 15th. I just couldn't do it anymore. Someone else resigned last week, another person the week before - which just increased the workload on everyone, and from what I heard of more changes that may be announced as early as next week (that no one knows about yet but me) I think they may have several more leave soon after ( Read more... )

Haven’t been around much because my computer died.  Turned it off one night and it wouldn’t turn on the next day.
