I just realized it's been so long since I last posted that those of you who don't speak to me regularly probably don't even know I'm in the US.

recipe skimming
Itching to be inspired by something new, I've been perusing online recipes posted by various food blogs and other trusted sources. In the process, I've found another use for the load of blackberries the freezer can barely contain. I've also made some observations I felt like sharing here:

berries, babies
We're buried in berries here at the moment. Wild blackberry bushes grow all over the place here, and it seems that we're the only ones interested in picking the berries from them. There are bushes all along the route we often walk along, as well as on the outside of the parking lot for the University here. After spending a few days picking there ( Read more... ) -

big news
I've finally spoken to my mother, so I feel I can now share with the LJ public our big news: I'm pregnant! Indeed, I found out a couple of weeks before the Seoul trip, and have told one or two people, but didn't want to share the news until things were a bit further along and I'd had a chance to tell both of my parents. Korea has been lovely so far. I'm completely beat at the moment, but it's a rare opportunity to use the internet for a period longer than five minutes, so I'm taking advantage of it.

This weekend is our Big Move, to the house I found but didn't mention here. I was very close to updating LJ about it, but every time I felt I knew what was going on with the rental agency, it seemed like the game was changed on me.
