If anyone wants to see where the CM writers got the idea that burning fish guts would drive away evil spirits, go check out the Book of Tobit in the "Apocrypha", the stuff that got kicked out of the Old Testament when the Christian Bible was stabilized in its current form. Also, it's a rousing good story! -

Finally put up some poetry on our Website, The Garret, down at the bottom of my stuff -- only the Lyric poems section actually has any up on it, all on one scroll-down page so far. Sea Poem
I've been writing on this long poem that doesn't have a real title yet, but the sections are called Tentacles, because I envision it as a sort of installation, each bit written on long thin tentacles hanging down, like those of a jellyfish, that you can walk among and read in any order you want.
