When I left off, I had to head back to Petalburg to talk to Mr. Briney, for at least two things. So, I head outside and bump into Brendan in the courtyard, bragging about how many pokemon he's found. He doesn't challenge Cody or anything, so nothing comes of it. Actually, kinda a shame, I think? Anyway.

Okay, so last time we interacted with the plot, we encountered a member of Team Aqua who had stolen some sciency stuff from the totally-not-suspicious Devon Corporation, and was hiding out in a nearby partially-completed tunnel. The tunnel is still there, so I guess it's time to check out the green path to the north of the town instead!

It's been about a year since the last entry, I've poked furtively at this game a few times but other games seem to wind up calling me instead, as well as a tumultous year for me personally. So, I start the game, and am greeted with a short, simple but not-bad introduction. First, a red-and-white dragon-y thing flying over a lush island surrounding a volcano, with Brendan bicycling beneath. Brendan's design seems a little better here, or maybe I'm getting used to it.
