Babysense...Sleeping in Peace
A long time ago in my family, a baby died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). I was not even born yet, so I obviously wasn't personally affected by it...or so you would think. Crossing the Lines of Decency
This just makes me angry. This is one of those times when I sincerely look at the world and acknowledge, once again, that I will never understand people. Ever.

Heath Ledger
I just read that Heath Ledger died. That makes me really sad, and for some reason it's really stayed at the forefront of my mind. It's just not something anyone ever expected, at least as far as I can tell. Though he's been portrayed as a semi-emo kind of guy, he also seemed to be well-adjusted and, well, normal. Thia smiled on purpose this morning! I know it was on purpose because she was responding to me, instead of it just being random, the way it has been. It was so exciting!
I tried to get her to do it again so I could get a picture, but she's not consistent with it yet. I'll have one up here as soon as I get one! -
Vindicated!
I have never, ever liked clowns. There's always just been something ...wrong with them. I've never been able to put my finger on exactly what. Even the happy ones seemed threatening. Maybe it was the effect of seeing "IT" before I was old enough. Maybe it's something else.

Total Fangirl
I am in total fangirl love with Josh Groban. Yeah, I know, that probably immediately places me at the "old people" table at Thanksgiving Dinner...or so I've heard. I think my son's godfather put it rather succinctly when he saw my collection of Groban CDs and stuff...he said, "you're such a mom." So yeah, I guess I am a mom. And a fangirl.
