I'm having problems importing some .wav files into Audacity. I don't know why- the files recorded on one of my digital voice recorder import fine, but when I try to import the ones recorded on the other, I get the error message that 'Audacity cannot recognise the type of this file', even though it's a .wav, just like the other files...

Is there a difference between listing an article on your CV as 'in press' or 'forthcoming'?

The article in question has been accepted for publication, but is currently back with us for revisions, if that makes a difference....

Also, I've had a conference paper accepted for April- can I put this on my publications list as 'forthcoming' in the same way ( Read more... )

Can anyone recommend a good (free or very low cost) media player? I want to be able to copy and burn CDs etc, and ideally print jewel cases. I'm having woes with both Windows Media Player (eeeeevil!) and Real Player....any recommendations?

I cannot even start to tell you how much easier and less terrifying the free online to-do-list organiser todoist is making planning fieldwork, and generally organising my life.
