I'm trying to compile a simple window program ... just a book exercise ... to keep my programmer's edge up and get back into programming for a bit. I'm using MS Visual C++ Express Edition version 9.0. What I get is a compile error stating:

This Christmas was not a very happy one, for me. I admit it. I've been in a depression for a while that really has not lifted.

Well, I just found my Workshop had been torn apart and stuff in my shed scuffled. All the electrical cords had been removed from the walls, ceiling, lights and computer equipment as well as the electrical elements, fuses and cables taken from the shop's main electrical box. Thanksgiving Day was pretty cool. Had my Mother, older Sister, Nephew and Niece (as well as my niece's springer spaniel Cuty) over for dinner, Thursday. Well, m y mother and sister came over Wednesday and stayed over both Wednesday and Thursday nights. It was a lot of fun to have some of the family over. Of course, I had a lot of cleaning to do. Just wondering how many are going to thank our service men and women for serving to honor this nation by protecting our freedom both in peace time and at war?
