50 Onew was determined to not let Minho get sick again. So as Minho left the hotel, he lowered earmuffs down to his neck and unzipped the green coat he wore over multiple layers of shirts. It was incredibly cold outside, but it was a little much.
Then again, the moment his earmuffs went down and touched the cold air, his ears seemed to go numb.
He didn't pay it any mind. He smiled, looking up at a bright sky he hadn't met in a while. There was no sun. There were lots of gray clouds. It was certainly the brightest sky he'd been under in a while, though.
He didn't spend too long loving on it though, because a taxi was waiting for him. Besides, it was cold out, and he had to hurry back to the hotel because even if vampires couldn't go out in the day, their bondeds, or other humans they associate with could.
He got in the back of the cab, and told the driver to take him to the library.
It seemed like a very nice ride. Maybe because for once the driver knew what he was doing, and he wasn't in any immediate danger. Besides, the sky was light through the windows, and he could enjoy a less creepy sight of Seoul.
Soon enough, they were at the library, and Minho paid the driver in cash he'd taken from Onew before getting out and heading in. It was warm inside too, so Minho unzipped his coat as he walked to the computers. When he looked up is when he saw him, and his heart jumped with joy. "Minseok!"
Even though the name calling earned him a lot of dirty looks and "shh!" noises that made him feel as embarrassed as he ever had felt before (maybe less than when Krystal walked in on him naked), Minseok looked away from the computer he was at and lit up seeing his younger brother. He stood up in a flash and rushed over, catching Minho in a hug.
Minho was all too happy to hug back, and he really could have burst into tears if he wasn't in a public place and surely being judged by everyone there.
"I thought you were going to leave the country." Minseok said quietly, sounding emotional himself.
Minho shook his head as he pulled back from his brother, "I am, but I'm looking for Taemin first." he whispered.
Minseok frowned, and then held up a finger in a symbol for 'wait', and then walked back to the computer to grab a bag he'd brought with him. Then he took Minho's arm and guided him right back out of the library. Minho was quick to zip up his coat again.
Minseok turned to him, "Have you seen the news?"
"About Taemin?" Minho asked, and then sighed. "Yeah. But we know he isn't dead, at least not the way they're saying."
"Just this morning, they were reporting that his murderer is a vampire, that they had evidence and all that he.. healed fast and.. I thought they kept this stuff out of the news, Minho."
"I don't know what that's all about..." Minho said, "But Taemin got away from the people that.. made that video. We were there."
"You were there?" Minseok's eyes were wide.
"It's a long story." Minho said, "I'm here because, er, Taemin has some blog.. possibly.. and I'm going to try to talk to him through it."
Minseok smiled, "I was kind of going to meet a girl here, but, is it okay if I cancel? I know you're all playing it safe, but since we just happened to meet each other here, neither of us can be in too much danger because of it.. right?"
"I guess not." Minho said, thoughtful.
"Good." Minseok grinned, "I'll buy my little brother lunch and stuff. Err.. linner. Lunch dinner."
"I can't stay too long.." Minho said, "Onew is waiting."
"Come on. For your brother? Do you have any idea how much I've worried about you?"
Minho smiled, and said, "Okay. Let me take care of the Taemin thing first though."
"Oh.. right." Minseok nodded, "I'll call Sooyoung.. she'll understand, she'll understand.."
Minho grinned and walked ahead into the library, unzipping his coat once again and taking a computer next to the one Minseok had sat at. He had a piece of paper in his pocket with the blog URL written down, but he didn't need it. He was there in a flash.
It was a generic looking site, and the most recent entry was new from around noon today.
"I saw the news. I don't know all that much about it,
but even though that man didn't kill Taemin, he probably is
a vampire. I repeat, he did not kill Taemin! Taemin is alive!!"
Minho couldn't believe how annoyed he felt. Even if Taemin was being subtle about it, this blog just seemed like a horrible mistake. IP address tracking or something.. would surely get him in trouble, right?
There were a lot of comments. Minho sighed, not sure if Taemin would see his, or think anything of it if he did. Still, he clicked the 'comment' button, and thought carefully.
Minseok came in and sat next to him while he thought. He peeked at the URL on Minho's screen and copied it, checking out the blog for himself. He kept quietly laughing, and Minho could only assume it was at the blog's blatant wording.
Finally, Minho wrote his name as, 'SportsFan', and simply wrote the message, 'Do you think zombies are real too?'
"Minseok.." he said after he posted it, "Is that too subtle? We just, had a conversation like that once.."
Minseok looked at the screen, "Seriously, Minho? Read the blog. I don't think he's very good at subtle."
"What do I say then?" Minho asked, frowning. "If it's a suspicious comment, then.."
"Then what? They'll track you down to the library?"
Minho frowned, "I don't know.. it just feels weird.." still, he turned to add onto his first comment, when a reply from 'Taemin' appeared.
'Did we talk about this before while eating noodles..? kekeke'
Minho grinned, quick to respond. 'Yeah. I think you said zombies could be real.'
"Huh." Minseok said, "Must have been a good conversation, right?"
"Memorable." Minho answered.
A moment later, an e-mail address appeared as a response. Minho rushed to his own e-mail site, excitedly typing the address in. "It's really him. There's no way anyone else would know about that."
"I'm glad he's alive." Minseok said, "I didn't figure the news would say he was dead when he wasn't.. damn."
Minho's e-mail was only three words, 'Where are you?', and the response was fast too. Soon, he got an e-mail saying 'I'm scared to tell online. Can we meet somewhere tomorrow in the daytime?'
Minho suggested none other than the library where was now, and Taemin confirmed. The plan was set.
The brothers walked out of the library together, and Minseok lead the way down the sidewalk towards a restaurant he knew.
"That was just so.. easy." Minho said, excited and astonished.
Minseok grinned at him, "So, is it okay if I see you tomorrow?"
Minho hesitated, "I don't know.."
"Come on, it isn't like someone's monitoring our conversation."
With another grin, Minho nodded. "Okay.. you gonna buy me lunch dinner again?"
"It's a promise." Minseok said.
