I am struggling this week with the idea of having a purpose and adding value.  I'm not sure what's triggering me, but my anxiety the last few days has been extremely debilitating.  There is a lot of confusion for me on what my value is in my relationships, and even with my job.  I have been trying to stop/slow my thoughts, but they keep coming back ( Read more... )

I love rainy morning Sundays.  They help me to feel better about staying in, working, and relaxing a bit.

I never did actually receive a call from my boss yesterday or today. Apparently neither did my counterpart in the department. I can’t say I’m surprised. Today was a bit challenging.  I'm always looking to improve on how I handle stressful situations, but sometimes my boss can make that extremely tough to do.  I've realized that talking to my boss about what I would like to do with my department is completely pointless.  It's an absolute waste of my time and energy.  He constantly changes things ( Read more... )

I'm always struggling with how to start these entries.  I'm not quite sure why, but I think it's part of my anxiety that drives me to want the beginnings to have some sort of meaning.  (Which when I dig into it...it must be the English major in me to want a strong beginning and ending.)

After spending a lot of yesterday getting our home put a little more together, I felt pretty organized.  I got rid of almost all of my magazines (which of course means ripping out recipes I hope to - but hardly ever - try) and re-organizing the chaos called our bedroom.  I got a pile put together of things to sell on eBay, and a couple more things ( Read more... )
