Richard is flipping through a book without much relish. His meeting with Tom has left him confused and out of sorts, and the temporary lull seems to have been shattered. It doesn't, of course, help that Ada slept with him once, only to protest that it wasn't her wish to continue. But Richard is a gentleman, and would never dream of mentioning ( Read more... )

Richard is reading in the main room, by the fire. He hasn't has much time for reading lately, and the quiet moment is quite welcome. He looks totally recovered from his latest encounter with death, as the scar is well hidden beneath his clothing, his expression more or less peaceful.

Richard, though he knows Ada is a bit more forward than she might of been, really had no suspicion that magic was at work. And as such, he's making ready his room, as it's not quite in a state yet for Ada to move in.

Richard really, really should know better at this point.

Richard Carstone makes an abrupt sound of pain, as if he'd caught up where he'd left off just before his death. Due to Kyllikki's well-meant magic, coming back to life was harder and more painful than the last time, and after three days of highly pleasant afterlife, it's a bit of a shock. Richard hasn't yet noticed that he's crackplotted. There's nothing, in fact, to indicate it to him yet except for the nagging feeling that he's forgotten something.

He's not yet realized that he's forgotten more or less everything.

And so he's currently heading towards the kitchen, to fix himself a snack.

They were, by the sound of things, being attacked. Richard was below, as per usual, assisting the surgeon because his bit of medical knowledge was enough to make him more useful in the infirmary than on deck. Richard is badly shaken, and trying to walk it off before he runs into anyone he knows. He hasn't noticed anything wrong with him, as yet. He doesn't feel sick, or poisoned, or crippled. Richard has talked with Ada... now it's time to talk to Tom. He is sure this will be more difficult, but equally sure that it needs to be done. So he is looking for Tom, first in his room, then throughout the Mansion and grounds, if necessary.
