Your two charming Reverends Tif (ladytiferet) and my most humble self are back again for yet another week of sinful shenanigans and we would like to warmly welcome everyone, whether it is welcoming back or welcoming for the first time, please, enjoy yourselves as much as you can and feel free to participate in the Church's sermons in whatever way you like.
Today we will be yet again selecting prompts, forsaken by gods and people. As per our young tradition two shall hail from movieverse/bookverse canon era and two modern/futuristic/whatever the hell else aus as we will do each week(tonight Tif picked two canon ones and I two aus). Give them a good start, a nudge to get them going, remind people of their existence. Feel free to post (or PM any of us) your suggestions for each week as well and discuss the prompts and ideas here (and wherever else you'd like, naturally). Basically, we're here to engage as many creative projects as we can and even more rampant enthusiasm. Everybody's more than welcome.

Esca/Marcus- whore!Esca AU
Marcus, a Roman commander, is traveling from one place to another, encounters bad weather, and is forced to stay at a nearby inn for several days. It's a shady establishment that also offers their guests the services of whores/bed slaves. Esca is one of them.
Esca catches Marcus' eye and Marcus requests for him. Esca goes to his room, they have sex, Esca leaves. The next evening, Marcus sees Esca entertaining a group of roughnecks, who're roughing up him badly. Marcus saves Esca by requesting him again, this time paying for the entire night.
Cue Marcus falling for Esca and Esca being too jaded and wary to believe that anyone would want him for anything else besides his body. And what happens when it's time for Marcus to leave the inn and continue his journey?

Esca/Marcus- AU, dark(ish)!Esca
Esca has been trained to be a fighter/killer/torturer since he was a little kid. He obeys orders without hesitation, never asks any questions. He is, for the lack of a better word, owned by some ruthless emperor/leader/king/military commander.
Then Marcus's army/squad invades the place where Esca lives and kills his master. Esca tries to kill himself, following the rules that were instilled in him, but Marcus stops him and tries to convince him that now he's free. Esca is confused, it's not like he really knows how to make any decisions for himself or even consider the ideas of "freedom" or, let's say, "future".
Marcus is, of course, afraid of Esca, but he's also on some level aware that deep down he's a brainwashed kid with almost no social skills, no matter how smart or skilled he is.
Esca decides that from now on Marcus will be his new master and follows him. Marcus can't really do anything to stop him from doing that, short of killing him.
The problem is that Esca's default reaction to any confusing/threatening situation is violence, and the only thing that keeps him in check are Marcus's orders (no matter how reluctant Marcus is to give them).
tl;dr - Esca is a killing machine and listens only to Marcus, reluctant to give orders.
I JUST LOVE THIS PROMPT. I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN WHY, BUT THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT THIS FANDOM THAT MAKES ME MISS THINGS DARK. I LOVE THEM GOING OFF TO SPAIN, BRUSHING DOWN PONIES AND BEING BOYFRIENDS BUT OH SOME DEEP DARKNESS AND INTRIGUE. MMM. IT IS NEEDED TOO!
