Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. What do the summer and this trip have in store for them?
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot, but I sure wish I owned more...
A/N: I'm kinda quick this time, ne? And the reason for that is that a couple of days ago I got so much inspiration and wrote the whole next chapter in one go (^o^) and since I'm going back home to my parents this weekend to celebrate my birthday a few days too early (I'm turning 22 on the 22th) and also going to be like super duper busy with my schoolwork until the middle of next week I decided to give you a update now instead of letting you wait yet another week for the next part. You'll probably have to wait a while for the next part after this though… Anyway, hope you enjoy this and comments are always loved (^_^)V <333

As soon as they were out from the hotel they headed down to the beach. It was almost dark outside, but the stars were shining in the sky and it was still hot outside. A slight summer's breeze ruffled their hair as they walked in silence holding hands. It was comfortable and since it was a week day not much people were out and they could feel completely at ease. As they reached the beach they started to walk slowly along the shore. Ueda couldn't help but think how cliché this whole scenario was. Walking hand in hand with your boyfriend along the beach in a summers night, but he didn't really care since it made him feel warm and wonderful inside.
"Ne, let's sit down for a while?" Ryo asked breaking the silence after they had walked for quite a while and turned his face to Ueda. Ueda smiled back and nodded in agreement as Ryo pulled him down to sit in the sand. As soon as they were sitting down Ryo placed his arm around Ueda's shoulders and pulled him in closer to let the others head rest on his shoulder. Ueda chuckled slightly as he couldn't help but feel like he was taking part of romantic movie.
"What's so funny?" Ryo asked facing Ueda with a quizzical look in his eyes.
"It's just that this is all so sappy" Ueda replied "I had no idea that being with you would turn out to be like I was a character in romantic movie."
"Are you making fun of me?" Ryo asked with a frown and was about to take his arm away from Ueda.
"No" Ueda said grabbing a hold of Ryo's arm and held it in place. "I am not. I just never thought that you of all people would be like this. I like it and you're more than welcome to continue on with it all and I like being in your arms"
"Who's the sappy one now?" Ryo teased with a big grin as he tightened his arm around Ueda pulling him in as close as possible.
"Shut up" Ueda said and before Ryo had the chance to reply Ueda had placed his lips onto the others. Ryo got a bit surprised since Ueda had made it clear earlier that any kind of kissing in public were forbidden but he got over it quickly and started to kiss back. Maybe it was the atmosphere that changed Ueda's mind or maybe it was just the fact that Ueda had some alcohol in his system not that it really mattered to Ryo though. They deepened the kiss and soon their tongues got involved in a sensual dance with each others as Ryo's hand moved from Ueda's shoulder and upwards ending up in the others soft locks. Ueda smiled into the kiss slowly placing his hand on Ryo's chest and pushing him backwards so that he ended up on his back. The kiss broke for a moment and Ryo looked startled at the sudden movement but didn't get the chance to react any further as Ueda leaned down over him and kissed him again. Ueda had no idea why he behaved like this; he had thought that he would be the one that would have the most self control out of the two of them but being with Ryo like this was just amazing. Ryo's hand found its ways back into his hair as Ueda slowly started to move his hand softly over Ryo's chest. Soon one of his hands ended up under the Ryo's t-shirt and he felt the heat from the soft skin radiating into the palm of his hand. Ryo's left hand wandered down his spine and carefully let it slide in under Ueda's shirt, caressing the lower back. Suddenly it hit Ueda where they really where and what they were doing so he pulled back. He panted slightly as he got up and sat down next to Ryo.
"What's wrong?" Ryo asked sounding almost a bit annoyed as he rolled over to his side and leaned his head against the palm of his hand.
"Nothing" Ueda said and glanced over at Ryo and smiled at the sight. Ryo with his now totally messed up hair and shirt and slightly swollen lips. "I just think that maybe we should continue this in a more secluded place"
"But there's no one here" Ryo said and grabbed a hold of Ueda's arm trying to pull him in closer again.
"Just because we don't see anyone, it doesn't mean there isn't anyone watching us" Ueda said but let himself being pulled back down again. "Someone could be lurking in the shadows"
"Oh yeah?" Ryo said as he leaned in and gave Ueda a kiss but the other pulled back.
"Yeah, so no more kissing until we're back in our room" Ueda said pushing Ryo down on the sand again and then rested his head against the others chest. "Let's stay like this for a while instead. I need to rest a little before we go back; I'm starting to get tired."
"Okay, but don't fall asleep on me?" Ryo said wrapping his arms around Ueda, nuzzling his face into the others hair.
"I promise" Ueda said with a small yawn before closed his eyes.
"Hey, hey wake up Princess" Ueda heard Ryo's voice calling and something nudging him slightly in his side. He opened his eyes slowly and was met by the first rays of the rising sun and a smiling Ryo. He smiled back and looked back at Ryo through half opened eyes.
"Good morning" he said and a second later he realized where he was and quickly sat up taking in the environment around him with startled eyes. "I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to fall asleep!"
"It's okay" Ryo chuckled sitting up as well. "I fell asleep as well, we're both to blame here"
"I guess" Ueda said giving Ryo a soft smile. "I can't believe we fell asleep on the beach just like that. And now we have sand all over us"
"Let's take a swim then" Ryo said jumping up on his feet and holding out his hand to Ueda to grab.
"But we don't have any swimming trunks with us" Ueda said but grabbed the hand nonetheless and let Ryo drag him up on his feet. Ryo just smirked and before Ueda had the chance to react Ryo started to run down to the water pulling Ueda with him in to the sea.
"What are you doing?" Ueda shouted both in amusement and confusion as the first splashes of water hit him and drenched his trousers completely.
"What does it look like?" Ryo said continuing to run further out in the sea holding a firm grip on Ueda's hand. "We're cleaning both ourselves and our clothes of course"
"Oh" was all Ueda managed to say before he was dragged completely down into the water as Ryo fell forward tripping over something.
"Ah, this is nice" Ryo said splashing some water onto Ueda when he got up from under the sea. "Why haven't we gone swimming early in the morning before?"
Ueda just smiled "What time is it anyways?" he then asked standing up and splashing some water back at Ryo.
"Let me che- Oh shit!" Ryo gave out a small shriek as he quickly pulled out his phone from his pocket. "I've completely ruined it. It's completely ruined, oh shit!" he stared at his now drenched phone with a devastated facial expression. Ueda tried to hold back a laugh but failed and soon he was laughing out so loud that he fell backwards.
"This is not funny, princess!" Ryo snapped and stared daggers into the other.
"Sorry but it kinda is!" Ueda tried to hold back his laughter but it wasn't easy "How could you be so stupid?"
"I forgot I had it with me okay?" Ryo frowned. "Your phone is probably dead too"
"I didn't bring it with me" Ueda said finally calming down but still had a stupid grin on his face. "I left it in our room"
"Oh, good for you then" Ryo muttered putting his phone back into his pocket.
"Aww, don't be like that" Ueda said getting up from the water and walked over to Ryo. "I'm sure it will be okay once you let it dry for a few days. And anyways it's not like you can't afford to get a new one"
"Yeah, but still" Ryo said still a bit devastated over it but began to feel slightly better when Ueda wrapped him into a hug.
"Yeah I know" Ueda smiled and then pulled back to face Ryo. "Let's get up and back to the hotel to freshen up, have some breakfast and then get going. And now that you don't have a functioning phone no one will be able disturb us on our date, right?"
When they had made t back to their floor they saw that they weren't the only ones out of their group of friends that had woken up. Kame was standing outside their room and it seemed like he was about to knock on their door.
"Kame? What are you doing here?" Ueda asked surprised as they walked closer making his younger friend twirl around gracefully and facing them.
"Ah, Good morning Tat-chan and Nishikido-kun" Kame smiled and then raised his eyebrows in a quizzical manner as he eyed them up and down. "What with the drenched kitten look? Did you fall into the water or something?"
"None of your business" Ryo said dragging a hand through his still wet hair. "So what are you doing here Kamenashi?"
"Ah, I'm here to give you the key to Jin's car" Kame smiled picking out a keychain from his pocket. "I thought you guys would want to get away as early as possible as to make sure no one would get the idea to tag along"
"Thank you so much Kame" Ueda smiled and held out his hand for Kame to place the key.
"No problems" Kame said placing the key in his friends hand "But can you guys please tell me where you've been all night? You never came back after getting some fresh air, right?"
Ueda and Ryo exchanged looks, should they tell him?
"We, "Ueda said and heaved a big sigh. "This is kind of embarrassing, so you gotta promise that you won't tell anyone about this"
"Of course I won't" Kame said eager to get the latest news "Haven't I proven myself to be great at keeping your secrets so far?"
"Yeah" Ueda said and glanced over at Ryo who made his way past Kame to open the door to their room. It seemed like he didn't want to be present when Ueda told Kame what they had been up to and Ueda waited for Ryo to have walked inside before he continued.
"We, kind of fell asleep on the beach" Ueda said and blushed slightly.
"You did what?" Kame said not even trying to hide his amusement as he chuckled slightly.
"Yeah, but that's all that happened" Ueda said facing the other. "Nothing else happened so don't get any ideas."
"Why would I get any idea?" Kame said with a big smirk on his lips. "So, okay, well I guess I should get going now before Jin wakes up and misses me."
"Yeah, and thanks for the keys again" Ueda smiled and looked down at the keys in his hand.
"It's really nothing" Kame said placing his hand on Ueda's shoulder making the other look up and meet his eyes. "But I am expecting a long report on how the date went afterwards, okay?"
"Okay" Ueda said not daring to say no incase Kame would take back the keys. "I promise"
"Good" Kame said letting go of Ueda's shoulder and walked away. Ueda looked after his friend for a few seconds before he walked into his room.
An hour later after a quick freshening up and some breakfast the couple made their way towards Jin's car. They had been lucky enough not to meet anyone else, but then again it was only 8 in the morning and after a night spent partying it was not that big of a surprise.
"I'll drive" Ryo said holding out his hand for Ueda to give him the keys.
"No I drive" Ueda said with a small smile on his lips "I seriously don't want us to end up crashing into someone else's car"
"That happened one time" Ryo protested but to deaf ears as Ueda opened the car and made it into the driver's seat. Ryo just stood and stared at the car for a few minutes as if expecting Ueda to get back out and tell him this was all a lame joke. That never happened and with defeated he opened the door to the passenger's seat.
"Aw, don't look like that" Ueda said starting the engine. "Be happy, we're going on our first real date. Put a smile on your face and decide what radio channel we'll listen to, and if you keep a smile on your face the whole day I might let you drive us back"
"Really?" Ryo said his eyes lit up and a smile spread across his face as Ueda started to drive the car out from the parking lot. "You'll let me drive?"
"Yes, if you keep that smile" Ueda chuckled glancing over at Ryo "You are so much like a small kid sometimes."
"Shut up" Ryo said but kept the smile on his face as he started to fiddle with the radio to find something to listen to. A moment later he stopped when a well-known tune started to fill the car and they started to sing along with it, silly smiles decorating their faces.
"This is the summer time natsu no mae ni kimi ni aeta kara saikou no nami ga kite iru nosa sunao na mama tsutaeru kara shio kaze ni negai wo kakusu nosa…"
