Minho and Onew were each tired and half asleep, and the heat of the sunlight wasn't doing either of them any good. Minho didn't drive that far. He just found them another parking garage, and picked the first empty space he could find. He had a better talent for driving than Taemin, though that's not to say he didn't have serious work to do.

"I'm sleeping here today." Onew told Minho. "I'll go for Taemin tonight. You need to get home before dark."

Minho climbed between the front seats in order to get in the back with Onew, sighing. "I'm in pajamas, and bloody. I'm gonna look pretty weird taking the train."

Onew smirked, moving from underneath the blanket. "If you can't even handle getting home on your own, how would you ever expect to help me at The Council?"

"I want to help you. I'll be worried and miserable if I don't."

Onew climbed up into the seat next to Minho, "They're going to hurt me."

Minho frowned.

"But if wherever you are, you're happy, I can use your feelings to get through it."

"I never thought being happy would seem like a hard thing to do." Minho sounded bitter, glancing away from Onew.

"Ah," Onew laughed a little, "You've had an easy life, then."

"When will we see each other again?" Minho asked, so emotional about the question that it was almost embarrassing, but Onew didn't tease him now. Onew looked solemn, reaching out to Minho's slap-reddened cheek. Minho cringed, because the skin stung, but relaxed as the coolness of Onew's hand made it feel a bit better.

"I don't know." Onew said.

"Save Taemin." Minho said.

"I will." Onew replied.

Minho's eyes burned, and he blinked them, not expecting the tears that fell when he did. He thought that Onew would comment on them, but what Onew said instead was, "You're bleeding."

Minho blinked at him.

Onew's hand moved off of Minho's cheek, and he lightly moved his fingers over his bottom lip instead, where there was the tiniest bit of blood.

"Oh." Minho said, stiff.

Onew leaned towards him, and Minho turned incredibly red as the vampire's lips softly closed over his. 'Just getting blood' or whatever the excuse may be, it was a kiss, and it was Minho's first kiss in fact. He was frozen until after Onew moved back, still feeling the softness of Onew's mouth.

Slowly, awkwardly, he turned fully towards the vampire, wrapping his arms around him in a loose hug. Onew touched his hands to Minho's sides, closed his eyes, and tried gently kissing his human for a second time.

It was weird how the word 'gay' didn't go through Minho's mind once. Everything just felt so oddly right that he knew it was the bond's weird and mystical influence, but he didn't care because it was pleasant. It was maybe the first truly, purely pleasant thing that the bond had brought on.

He tried to respond to the kiss, pushed his lips forward against Onew's and felt the vampire's smile. Onew licked between his lips, and Minho kissed the tip of his tongue before it returned to his own mouth. Then, they seperated again.

Whatever happened now, Onew thought, Joon had been right. Bonding with Minho was not a mistake. He wasn't a weakness. He was something, someone, to fight for.

***

Saying Minho's family flipped out when he got home (blood wiped off, but still wearing pajamas) was an understatement. They beyond flipped out. First they cried happily, then they scolded him heavily, explaining they'd called the police and had been ignored, then they listened to his story - and then his parents demanded that he go to his room while they 'talked'.

Minho thought he might be happy to stay in his room forever.

Whatever damage had been done to Minho's room, his parents had straightened. He noticed that his vampire book was gone, which he'd figured would be the case, as when he'd walked to his bedroom, his mom had said something like "this is all that library's fault.."

There was so much, still, to worry about. Would Taemin be okay? Would Onew? Would vampires come after him? Had he seriously kissed a boy? And how the hell was he gonna deal with his parents? It didn't matter that he was at home, this was so far from over.

Saying he was tired was an understatement.

Before he laid down, he opened his window.

End.
Read the sequel " White Noise"

---------------------------------

I think I could spend forever saying thanks to my commenters, and just anyone who actually read this. It was so much fun to write, and you see I left things all undid and open and all, so in other words - there's OBVIOUSLY going to be a sequel fic, so if you really liked, please stay tuned. :) I know some of you must be worried about Taemin.

If you're wondering why I chose to end this here, and am making a sequel, it's because I have too many ideas from here for just this one fic. lol. So definitely look forward to "BOOK 2" :B

I can't believe that so many people have read and enjoyed this story, it really makes me so happy I don't even have wooords. A million thousand billion thanks, everyone. Don't hate me for this "endddd"! ;_;
