Yeah, I know; the rest of you did it back in January.
I'd just like to note that I hate hate hate working out capital gains. Plus, I've lost 2005. How did I lose 2005? Hopefully the world will look rosier by tomorrow night. -
Computer Guru Fail
Well, it's a week to go before taxes are due, so I've begun getting the necessary parts together. I use TurboTax, and I expect things to go pretty smoothly. Except that my old hard disk mostly-died this past fall. I rescued all the files in all my directories. R.I.P. David Frum
Well, conservative commentator and Bush adviser David Frum has been fired by the American Enterprise Institute, coincidentally immediately after criticizing the Republican party leadership's trend toward fomenting fear. One big difference between the GOP and the Dems: Republicans will kill and eat their own with minimal provocation. -

Health care reform has passed the house!!!
I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime. Yeah, the bill is lousy in many respects, but breaking through the enemy lines is a critical step toward winning the battle. -
My street is suddenly zoned!
Zoning signs have appeared on my street- it is now Zone Y. I've known this was in the works, but I expected the permission sticker to arrive before the signs. Apparently that's not how it works ( Read more... ) -
The car is home.
My nice clean car has come home from the shop. Bringing it home required shoveling out the one unclaimed car-sized spot left on my street, and that required moving all the snow that everyone else had shoveled into that spot.
