And not once had he ever returned to Azure. He didn't even listen to any news about that kingdom. For him, Azure no longer exists.
However, in one of his travels, Pegasus happened to be there. He told him of a proposal that Azure's newly crowned King made to a Whisperer. He listened because it was Pegasus that was delivering the news and one does not ignore the words of the oldest magical creature alive. Besides, the peculiar story of the lovers piqued his interest.

"Are you ready to see him?" Kaoru asked.
Kazuya sighed. "I would have to face him sooner or later anyway. I can't just keep running away like this every time a problem comes."
"We'll come with you," Hikaru declared.
"No. There are some battles that I need to face alone."
Just then, the ground shook violently and a loud sound was heard from the direction of the town nearest to the palace. That sound was not ordinary.
It sounded like destruction. And to their sensitive ears, they could hear magical creatures crying in agony.
"Something tells me this is one of the battles you shouldn't face alone," Kaoru commented.
"I agree." Tatsuya said as he watched an ominous dark smoke rise above the kingdom.
