soldier of love note: past is when yunho was a stud muffin until he found out about his condition. present is during the time when the couple met minseok and yoosu and everyone else. future is three years after that, when minseok is already eight years old... and the years after that.
present
"Move out of the way!" warns Jaejoong as he runs past people as carefully as he could to avoid bumping into them. He's terribly late and his mother just has to drop him of at least ten blocks away from school ("I'm sorry honey, my boss won't take no for an answer. I need to be there as soon as I could. I'll cook your favorite dinner to make it up to you. Take care. Love you!"). So to say, his first day of school isn't going as well as he hopes it would be.
Ignoring the burning sensation in his legs, he continues running his way up the footbridge only to slow down his tracks at the sight of a student who is standing on the railing. He has to hold his breath when the suicidal boy leans over the railing and slips. Muttering a curse, he runs towards the boy and purposely bumps into him, sending them both toppling on the ground.
Jaejoong rubs his knee - that will soon be bruised - and glances at the boy whom he just saved from doing the unthinkable. The said boy glares at him and he could only get up and bow awkwardly. "Uhh, I... nice weather!" he blurts out unintelligently and runs away.
Being late is one thing, but getting punished for being late is another. And that sucks. The teacher doesn't really have to send him outside so that he could raise his hands and be the laughing stock of the students loitering on the hallway. His teachers back in his hometown aren't like this. They are very nice, in fact, and they don't humiliate tardy students.
He could only curse his luck.
"Psst. You're the transferee?"
Oh yes. He isn't alone to endure the humiliation. And that, he is thankful for.
He nods. "I'm Jaejoong. You are?"
A disturbingly bright smile is sent his way. "Kim Junsu. It's nice to meet you. Where are you from?"
"Gongju."
"Why don't you have an accent?"
"Uhm," Well he certainly does not know how to answer that. Would it be embarrassing if he tells him the truth? That he practiced standard accent for weeks so no one would find a reason to make fun of him?
Junsu looks at him with his million dollar smile, obviously expecting an answer. Just as he was about to open his mouth to respond, probably tell him a lie, he feels a stinging pain on his right ear. "Who gave you two permission to talk?" And before his mind could process what is happening, the rude teacher is already beating the back of their knees with her stick. He and Junsu could only bite their lips and whimper in pain.
It is only when the teacher is satisfied with her work - pure torture for the two boys - does she go back to the classroom to continue with her lesson.
"Guess we were too loud?" Junsu says with a soft laugh, both of them rubbing their legs. "Damn it she really hits so hard."
"Is she even allowed to do that?" Jaejoong wonders out loud to which Junsu responds with a shrug.
"It's not the first time she hit me. There was a time when I..." Whatever Junsu is telling him falls deaf on his ears as the suicidal boy on the bridge walks past him and enters their classroom. It probably only means one thing.
"He's our classmate?"
Junsu stops babbling, blinks at him and then smiles, not at all offended at the fact that he was not listening to him. "His name is Jung Yunho. You do not want to mess with him."
He frowns. "Why?"
"Because... he's going to kick your ass." Jaejoong blinks. "Well, not literally. But after he talks to you you'll feel like you've been kicked in the ass over a hundred times. He's very rude, you see."
"Has he been rude to you?"
"Oh no. That's only because I don't really talk to him. Can't risk it."
"Then how can you say that?"
"How can I not? Most people here don't like him. I suggest you stay away from him." Jaejoong nods, but doesn't really take his warning any heed.
He's only able to observe Jung Yunho when he and Junsu are allowed to go back in their room for the next class. Jung Yunho is sitting on the last row, right next to the window and he happened to be assigned to the seat right next to him. During the lesson, Junsu, who was sitting three rows in front of him, keeps on glancing at him in worry. He could only smile to assure him that no, Jung Yunho hasn't kicked his ass yet. Literally or figuratively.
Their English teacher, Mr. Nam, doesn't seem to be that bad. But Jaejoong realises he has misjudged him when Mr. Nam catches Jung Yunho sleeping in class and smacks his head really hard. He gasps.
Rubbing his abused head, Jung Yunho cracks an eye open and hisses at the teacher. "What the hell was that for?"
"Don't you have respect, Mr. Jung?" the furious teacher asks through gritted teeth.
Jung Yunho scoffs. "Respect is earned, not imposed. I only respect those who deserve it."
"Why you--" Mr. Nam lifts a hand, aiming at the student's cheek when said student stands up and catches his wrist before it could even meet his cheek.
"Student Rights. Section 3, Clause 6. The principal and staff must not use verbal or physical abuse on the students." Jung Yunho is dealing with the situation rather calmly, Jaejoong notes, and Mr. Nam isn't as the older man is visibly shaking, as if ready to claw his student's eyes out. "Anything else you would like to say, sonsaengnim?"
"Get out. Now!"
"Gladly."
And in a blink, Jung Yunho is out the room.
Well, Jaejoong thinks, that was cool.
Junsu thinks otherwise.
"Told you he was rude." His new friend says waving his half-eaten sandwich. It is lunch and he isn't even that hungry but Junsu just dragged him to the cafeteria giving him no chance to protest.
Jaejoong stabs a potato with his fork and shoves it in his mouth. He shakes his head. "I didn't find it rude, though. He was just defending himself."
"It was his fault in the first place." Junsu reasons out. "He shouldn't have slept in class. Although Mr. Nam should've just let him be. He's always slept in class."
"Maybe he's tired."
"Or maybe he's being arrogant."
"How so?"
"He's the top student in the class, Jaejoongah. Surely, he's just being cocky. We don't even see him study at all and yet he gets really high grades. Such a show off."
Jaejoong chuckles, throwing a potato ball at Junsu who effortlessly dodges it. "I can feel your hatred from over here."
"It's not hatred. I don't hate him. But I don't like him either."
"Doesn't seem like it though." he mumbles.
The rest of the day goes pretty well. Jaejoong did not interact with anyone else other than Junsu. Surprisingly, the other teachers are really nice, unlike the first two he encountered. They are probably just not morning people. Humming his favourite song of the week, he goes separate ways with his new friend and heads home only to, for the second time that day, stop on his tracks at the sight of Jung Yunho sitting in the middle of the street, glaring at his... shoes?
Completely ignoring Junsu's warning to not interact with the kid, he slowly approaches him, stopping just a few inches away from the odd boy. He clears his throat. "Uhm," Yunho looks up at him and frowns, as if asking him what the hell was he doing there. "I..."
"The weather is not nice." Jung Yunho replies, taking his eyes off Jaejoong.
Remembering his stupid outburst the first time they met, he suddenly feels so silly. "I wasn't really... going to say that. I just. Is... is something the matter?" There is a few minutes of silence before Jung Yunho mumbles something he does not catch. "What was that again?"
"My shoelaces are untied."
It is then that Jaejoong notices his untied shoelaces. "I don't see any problem with that. You can just tie-"
"I can't."
He frowns. "You can't?"
"That's what I said. Are you going to laugh at me?"
"As in you don't know how to tie it at all?"
"Are you deaf?!"
Shaking his head at the other's temper, he drops his bag on the ground, sits beside Jung Yunho and ties his shoelaces, bunny style. With a smile, Jaejoong stands back up. "There. You might want to stand up now. We don't want you getting hit by an oncoming car, don't we?"
Jaejoong smiles at him before turning on his heels and walks away.
He definitely has no idea why or how it happened but the next thing he knows, Jung Yunho is talking to him like they've been buddies since diapers. It is just Yunho for him now. He has been given permission from the latter that they could be on first name basis. Junsu, however, is pretty much against their friendship and keeps on scowling everytime he sees them together. After school hours, that is. They only hang out when school is over. When there are no eyes to judge them and no mouths to gossip about them.
"Were you able to finish the test?" Jaejoong asks rather worriedly as Yunho pushes the door to the rooftop open. They sit on the bench Yunho stole from the gym and he immediately snatches the cigarette hanging on Yunho's lips, throwing it on the ground. He hates it when Yunho smokes.
Yunho gives him a look but says nothing about his wasted cancer stick. "Don't I always?"
"But I saw you sleeping."
"I did sleep. Right after I finished the exam."
"Of course. Why am I even surprised."
"Did you do well?"
Jaejoong nods with a smile. "Wasn't able to study much but I think I did fine." He frowns when Yunho ruffles his hair while muttering, we'll see when the results are out.
Turns out, he did better than he expected.
It is lunch time when Junsu drags him to the bulletin board where the results are posted. For some odd reason, students keep on staring at him while whispering at each other. He does not need to ask as he knows they are talking about him. He silently wonders if someone posted pictures of him. Did he do something horrible? Is he in trouble now? All the negative thoughts fly out of his mind when he sees his name on top of the list.
He is number one?
Before he could react to the pleasant surprise, Junsu already crushes him in a tight hug. "Didn't know you had it in you! You stole Jung Yunho's spot." His ecstatic friend tells him.
Yunho's spot?
He pulls away from the hug and checks out the list again. Yunho is all the way down... to number five.
As much as he wants to talk to Yunho about the results, he's nowhere to be found. He didn't even attend his classes.
"-later?"
Junsu's voice snaps him out of his reverie. "Oh, what was it again?"
"Why were you not listening to me? As I was saying, to celebrate your success, why don't we eat out later after school?"
He nods absentmindedly, still wondering about his new friend's whereabouts.
Junsu sure is having a lovely time scoffing down his ramyun. Jaejoong stabs a piece of spicy rice cake with his toothpick when his vision lands at the awfully familiar boy outside the food stall. "Is that Yunho?" he asks before he could even stop himself. "Who's that?" he adds when he notices that Yunho is not alone.
Junsu swallows his noodles and looks at direction where Jaejoong is looking at. "There have been rumours. About him and men. Sometimes women."
"What kind of rumours?"
"You know, those kinds of rumours."
"Yunho's not that kind of person." he says, earning a scoff from the other.
"Right. You'd know that because you've been friends, for what, a week? You barely know anything about him. And I doubt he'd tell you anything. What do you even know about him, Jaejoong? That he can't tie his own shoelaces? What you know are only trivial things."
Jaejoong glances at Yunho and the man, and frowns when the old man seems to be forcing him to get in his car. Clenching his fists tight, his body took over him as he abruptly stands and runs off, leaving a stunned Junsu.
"He said he doesn't want to go. Let him go!" he shouts, snatching Yunho's arms away from the old man who has gotten even more angry at his presence.
"Who the hell are you?"
"I..." Squeezing Yunho's wrist tightly, he could only pray to the heavens that what he's doing is right. "I'm his boyfriend!"
"Boyfriend?!"
Yunho looks at him in incredulity. He knows the boy is going to say something but he does not let him and continues to drag him away from the still angry man. "Let go of me." Yunho finally speaks up after five minutes of speed walking. He does not let go and instead, fastens his pace a little more. That seems to tick the taller man off. "I said let go of me."
He has only heard that tone of voice when Yunho was arguing with Mr. Nam. He doesn't expect nor does he want that tone to be used on him. Almost reluctantly, he lets go of the other's wrist. Even if he wants the ground to just swallow him whole, he knows he has to give his friend an explanation first. But the problem is, he doesn't even have one.
He does not know what got into him and he did that. All he knows is that Yunho needs to be saved and that is the only way he could do it. He gulps.
"Boyfriend? Who the fuck do you think you are?"
"Yunho I-"
"Did you think I'm some damsel in distress who needed some saving from my knight in shining armor? Is that what you think of me? A weakling?"
"Of course not!"
Yunho looks livid and Jaejoong is actually scared for his life. Maybe he should have listened to Junsu's warning and stayed away from Yunho. "Being my friend does not give you the right to poke your nose in my business. I don't need your or anyone else's help. Just fuck off, will you?"
Maybe Junsu is right.
"Dude, you owe me a few bills." Jaejoong is about to reach for some money from his pocket when Junsu stops him. "I was kidding. I got your untouched food packed up and took it home to my brother. Now he worships me. Li- Jaejoong watch out!"
Before Jaejoong could process what was happening, Junsu pushes him away, sending him rolling on the ground. His eyes widened in surprise at the broken flower pot on the ground. "The crap was that." Junsu muttered, helping him up. They both looked at the second floor and noticed an open window. "That's our room!"
The boys wasted no time and ran up to their room to find the culprit but found no one. Everyone in the room seems to be oblivious to what just happened. Suddenly feeling exhausted, Jaejoong drags himself to his seat and is surprised to find writings on his table.
Go back to your hometown, show off.
No one needs you here.
Bet you get such high grades because you sleep with the teachers.
Slut t(-_-t)
He could feel hot tears prickle at the corners of his eyes. He runs away.
What did he do to deserve such treatment? None of those are true. He has never slept with anyone for anything. And he would never ever do that. All he wants is to do great in school and make his mother proud. But now that he is, everyone seems to be against it. Is it wrong to be actually good at something?
His feet takes him to the rooftop. He glances at the bench and sees Yunho smoking. Yunho is the least of his concerns at the moment so he walks to the other side where Yunho won't be able to see him and sits on the ground, hugging his knees as he silently cries his heart out.
"You might think you're being quiet, but you aren't." He looks up, wiping his tears harshly with the back of his hands. His eyes meet Yunho's. "You're sobbing quite loudly." Yunho takes a step towards him and he flinches. A look of hurt flashes across his eyes but it disappears as soon as it appeared. Jaejoong is not bothered by it. Yunho does not have the right to feel hurt when he practically slapped him in the face with his harsh words.
When he feels that Yunho is about to say something, he quickly shakes his head. "Don't." he mumbles.
The taller boy doesn't seem to be offended by that. He even takes a seat beside him, his long legs stretched out. They both stay at the rooftop, not uttering a word to each other and somehow, he finds Yunho's presence comforting.
That afternoon, they go home together.
"I saw you." He jumps in surprise, a hand clutching onto his chest but then calms down as soon as he realises that it is just Junsu who puts an arm over his shoulder. He must be talking about yesterday when he walked home with Yunho. "Why can't you just listen to me?"
He sighs. "I really have no idea why you dislike Yunho so much. You said so yourself, he didn't do anything to hurt you. I just don't understand." He stares at his friend's unreadable expression and decides that no matter how much he tries to understand how Junsu thinks, he just wouldn't.
As they stop in front of their classroom, Junsu puts a hand on his shoulder and squeezes it gently. "Trust me when I say he's bad news."
The only reason why he nods is just so Junsu would stop bothering him about it.
And besides, if being with Yunho gets him in trouble, it's not like he'll blame it on Junsu. He only has himself to blame. As much as he wants to tell his friend to just shut up and let him be, he does not want to hurt his feelings when he knows he just means well.
Jaejoong lies on the gym floor, head spinning and nose bleeding. This is exactly why he hates P.E. It's tiring, it's dangerous, and people are just out to get him. What do these people have against him anyway? Is it because he aces all exams? Is that it?
Unaware that he is already being escorted to the infirmary, he continues to wonder if he has done something wrong to anger his classmates. "Don't mind them. They're stupid." But apparently, he has voiced his thoughts out loud.
He looks at his escort and furrows his brows a little. "Yunho."
"That's me."
"Why are you here?"
He does not protest when Yunho gently pushes him down the bed. "Teacher thought it's best that I bring you here instead of your friend who kept on glaring at me for no apparent reason." Junsu, Jaejoong mutters with a sigh.
"I'm sorry. He doesn't seem to like you. I'm not sure why."
"That's no big deal. He isn't the only one." Yunho smiles as he moves around the infirmary, looking for the first aid kid. "Tilt your head. The nurse should be here in a while. I just have to find some cotton balls."
Whether he is taking care of him out of genuine concern or because of the teacher's order doesn't really matter. He appreciates the help and it made him smile like an idiot.
"For someone who got hit by a ball in the face, you sure don't look hurt."
"Oh it does." Jaejoong replies, still smiling. "My lips just have a life of its own." Yunho just hums as he stuffs two cotton balls in Jaejoong's nose. The injured student gasps. "Y-you stuck your fingers up my nose!"
"No I didn't."
"But I feel violated." he mumbles, covering his bleeding nose with a hand.
The taller boy chuckles. "You are so weird. Mind if I lie down beside you?" Shocked at his request, Jaejoong could only nod wordlessly. He watches as Yunho crawls towards him, his heart starting to beat rapidly. Damn it, why is he so nervous.
What happens next surprises the shit out of him.
Yunho flips them over, resulting to Jaejoong unwillingly straddling his hips. "Y-yunho..." He blinks. Well Yunho doesn't seem to mind the intimacy, but that doesn't make things okay.
"Touch me."
"What?!"
"Touch me, Jaejoong."
He lifts a hand to slap Yunho's chest but the latter catches him by the wrist. He could only gape as Yunho rests a hand on his nape and pulls him close, their lips almost touching. Jaejoong knows that if he does not pull away, he is going to be in deep trouble, so he hastily jumps off of Yunho, ungracefully landing on the floor with a thud.
And then he runs away.
Jaejoong is pretty determined to avoid Yunho like a plague. He has come to a decision that he is not going to talk to him at all costs. Not now, not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, not next week, not for a long time.
It's not that he hates him because of the incident back at the infirmary. In fact, he likes him. He likes him too much. Everytime he's with the boy, he feels all warm and fuzzy inside.
And that is exactly why he wants to be away from him.
He needs time to sort out his feelings. Feelings he's not sure he's fine with. Sure he had a few crushes back then, but those were completely different because he was practically non-existent to said crushes. They are not like Yunho who happens to be his friend. His friend who confused the fuck out of him by seducing him.
Was he really seduced, though? Or was that a stupid joke that Yunho thought was funny?
Whatever it was, Jaejoong did not find it funny at all.
A groan escapes his lips as he walks along the hallway, noticing the students whispering and staring at him. He frowns. Again? His question is answered when his phone goes off. It is a group message from an unknown number.
Transfer student Kim Jaejoong caught molesting Jung Yunho.
Attached on the message is a picture of him straddling Yunho. He grips his phone tight. Someone must have been at the infirmary when the incident happened. There is no truth to that at all, but he is not going to explain himself when he knows it's useless. What's the point? No one's going to believe him anyway.
"I hate to say this, but I told you so."
He sighs when he feels Junsu putting an arm around his shoulder. "That's not what happened, Junsu." Somehow, he feels obliged to explain everything. He knows Junsu will be the only one to believe him.
"A picture paints a thousand words."
"Excuse me? Not because it's what you see doesn't mean it's the truth."
"Seeing is believing."
"What the fuck?" Out of anger, he shoves Junsu away. "You mean to say you believe this rumour? Rumours are called rumours for a reason."
"It's not a rumour when there's proof."
"You're an ass." He mutters through gritted teeth, his fists clenching tightly to refrain himself from punching Junsu. From the corner of his eye, he could see Yunho walking towards their direction. He actually wants to talk to him about this mess they're in. Yunho's a victim as much as he is. Yes, it was Yunho's fault that they ended up in that position, but that was not meant to be photographed. No one was supposed to know, to see. He takes a deep breath, ready to make peace with Yunho when the latter just walks past him, not even glancing at him.
His body is feeling very hot from the humiliation. And it hurts. It hurts a lot.
"Looks like lover boy is traumatised."
With Junsu adding salt to his wound, he elbows him in the gut. "Fuck off."
He hasn't spoken to Junsu for three days. He doesn't want to and he doesn't feel like making up with him yet. After all, Junsu did hurt him real bad. But he knows he has to forgive him eventually. Junsu is a nice friend who is just overprotective and an occasional asshole.
Maybe it was his hatred for Yunho.
The rumour, of course, had gotten him in trouble. The guidance counselor talked to him and now he has to be the nurse's assistant for one whole week. It is an easy job and he likes it, although whenever he sees the bed where it happened, he couldn't help but wince at the memory.
Twisting the door knob open, he pauses upon hearing two voices. One voice awfully familiar.
"No, not this time."
"But Mr. Park-"
"No Yunho." Jaejoong gasps and quickly covers his mouth with a hand. His chest is pounding. It is Yunho and their homeroom teacher. He wants to run away but his feet stay rooted on the ground. "This is against the rules. Don't do this."
"Just this once, Mr. Park, please."
What is happening? Why is Yunho begging him? He has all these questions in his head and he is scared to take a peek. He's afraid to see what he fears the most. He firmly believes that the rumours about Yunho and men aren't true. He knows Yunho isn't that kind of person. There just has to be zero truth to it.
"You cannot ask me to change your grades. I give you what you deserve."
Jaejoong blinks at his hiding spot in confusion.
"But my parents are going to kill me."
"They wouldn't, Yunho. You've been failing some of your classes. I didn't think you'd be this irresponsible."
"Irresponsible?!" Yunho barks. Jaejoong could tell how furious he is. "It has always been about my grades, hasn't it? Have you ever even thought that maybe something was wrong with me so I'm failing? You are no different from my parents. I thought you genuinely cared. But all you care about is my perfect attendance and high grades. What kind of teacher are you?"
"Jung Yun-"
"Don't touch me!"
That is when Jaejoong thinks he's had enough. Without thinking about the consequences of his actions, he barges in the room and swats his teacher's hands away from Yunho's arm. "Don't fucking touch him!"
Yunho keeps his mouth shut as Jaejoong pulls him out of the room and takes him to the rooftop. "I like you." Jaejoong confesses, eyes shut close. "I'm interested in you. I have been ever since I saw you on the bridge."
"Is this the part where I'm supposed to say I like you too?"
Jaejoong's eyes snaps open. "Y-you don't mean that."
"Of course I don't. I don't have time for any of this."
Jaejoong could only watch as Yunho walks away. Well, for once it isn't him walking away.
No, it's not a nice change.
"Jaejoong ssi, the nurse wants to see you." He looks up from his book and almost raises a brow. Why is his classmate talking to him? He actually looks around and braces himself for a water balloon that would be thrown his way but there is none. Okay, so he probably should lessen the paranoia. It's pathetic.
Thanking his classmate, he heads towards the infirmary, silently wondering why the nurse needs him. As far as he could remember, he did not mess up. He could already tell the difference between alcohol and hydrogen peroxide and he's sure he didn't mix up the bottles.
"-wasn't it?"
Déjà vu.
Here he is, in front of the clinic, unintentionally eavesdropping not wanting to barge in and interrupt the conversation.
Is that Junsu? It has to be. It sounded a whole lot like him.
Curious, he presses an ear on the door and listened intently.
"I thought he was your friend."
He's certain that the voice sounds unfamiliar. He isn't able to hear the rest of the conversation though because someone pulls him by the hand and drags him away. There has been a lot of dragging happening in his school that he thinks it might be a trend.
"Jaejoong, you've got to listen to me."
"Yunho?" He frowns, clearly not pleased to see the other male. Upon realising that Yunho is holding onto his wrist, he snatches his hand back. Just in case someone sees them together and makes up another malicious rumour. "I don't want to see you right now. Please leave me alone." he turns on his heels to walk away but Yunho doesn't let him and instead, pushes him inside an empty classroom. "What the f-"
"We need to talk. It's about Junsu." Yunho says rather urgently which causes to Jaejoong to forget being mad at him for a moment because this could be important. If it's not and Yunho's just messing around with him, he could always swing a punch or two.
He tries not to tense up at the fact that Yunho just locked the door and is now approaching him. "W-what is it?"
Yunho stops right in front of him and sighs. "I don't... I'm not sure how you're going to take it but Junsu, he's not a good guy. Wait, let me finish explaining first." the taller boy sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Didn't you hear him talking to a guy? Well that guy is Changmin I don't know how they know each other but the point is, Junsu has been asking Changmin to help him get rid of you."
"How did you know that?" Jaejoong asks, not knowing whether to be shocked or angry at Yunho for making up stories. "How would I know you're telling me the truth and not making this up just to get back at me for getting you involved in a stupid rumour?"
"Because! Because you're a nice guy and you saved me twice and now it's time to return the favour."
"But Junsu... he's my friend. I don't understand. I haven't done anything to hurt him. Why would he want to get rid of me?" Jaejoong rambles, feeling confused. And if he's completely honest to himself at the moment, he's touched by Yunho's confession.
"I wasn't able to hear that part of the conversation. I was on my way to meet my mom and passed by a cafe to get her something and they were there. I don't think they noticed me. They were too engrossed in their conversation."
"But you're mad at me.?" he mumbles. "You're mad. I should have waited for the right time to confess. Or maybe I shouldn't have done anything at all."
"Im not mad, Jaejoong. Just..." Yunho sighs. "Just give me time. My love life was never my priority. I don't even think about it."
You could always try, Jaejoong wants to say, but he knows better than that. "I'm scared." he confesses instead. "I'm confused. I- I want to confront Junsu but I'm scared he'll do something to me. I don't even know what getting rid of me means exactly and it scares me so much, Yunho. I don't want to be around Junsu anymore."
"You made Junsu cry." Changmin deadpans, clicking his tongue in disappointment as he rubs the crying Junsu's back. "Wait until Yoochun gets off from work and hears about this." Yunho rolls his eyes, masking the secondhand embarrassment he's feeling caused by his flailing lover.
"I'm sorry!" the said lover cries, apologising profusely to get on Junsu's good side again. "I didn't want to make you the bad guy. It was just a stupid story, Junsuyah."
"See, you put Junsu in a stupid story. All of us, even. And you made it look like Yunho was whoring himself out."
"But he wasn't! You haven't even finished the story yet so you know nothing!"
"I know plenty enough."
"Changmin you're not helping." Yunho finally comments, already feeling bad for his boyfriend.
It all started when his always too enthusiastic for his own good boyfriend smacked a Valentine's Day Contest flyer on his chest. Apparently, interested contestants were supposed to write a story about how they met their other halves. Jaejoong, being the overly dramatic person that he is, made a rather complicated outline about their love story and vowed to write a novel. Which was completely fake, Yunho made sure to remind him countless of times but to no avail. His lover had his eyes on the prize that he eventually just let him be.
He isn't going to blame him though. An all expense paid trip to Bora Bora Island for two sounds very appealing even to him. Though faking it is just so unnecessary. As he predicted, Jaejoong's story seems more like a Korean drama than an actual love story.
It wouldn't have been too much of a big deal if Jaejoong just kept his story just between the two of them. He didn't really have to print copies of his masterpiece and arrange a get together for all of them just to make their friends read it. He is pretty lucky Yoochun wasn't able to make it as he had to cover for someone at the hospital. Things would get a little too messy if a fight between Jaejoong and him ensues. And that would make Junsu even more upset than he already is.
"I..." Junsu hiccups. "I want Yoochunnie."
Changmin snickers. Jaejoong screams an ear-peircing no and Yunho could only rub his suddenly throbbing temples.
Oh, Jaejoong.
