This is an information gathering post; Hawkeye is an organizational master and also does undercover work and general information gathering--a process she plans to continue while in Mayfield.
[ooc: All text below is in character. The links for everything except the information letter are for mun reference only and to help me keep events straight. "Regains" and "Important, Non-Plot Events" are strictly OOC and for my reference ^_^;]
Information Letter Drones
1. Lust says that the
drones are actually the remaining bodies of people whose souls have been taken and stored into a vat. The energy from the souls is used to power the town while the bodies walk about and work to maintain the image of Mayfield as the perfect town.
2.
Lan Fan passes on
this letter, which refers to the drones as people who had initially had free will. Lan Fan can't sense the quantity of souls within these people or underground the way she can in Amestris, which works to the disadvantage of confirming or denying Lust's suspicions.
3.
Drones fill empty spots in houses when there is not a Mother/Father/Child/Child combination present
4.
Rin mentioned that anybody can be droned.
5.
Rin thinks that drones may not feel pain. Personal experience and observation suggests this may be wrong.
6. Droning seems to happen as punishment. It also seems to occur randomly.
7.
Mayfield prisoners who are droned do not remember anything when they are droned. ADDENDUM:
Under unusual circumstances, drones do remember what they've done. General Information
1. Do not drink the milk
2. People in charge: Mayor, Officer Grady.
This letter also mentions that Jack and Lucy Smith--they appear to be droned--may also be a big part of the scheme. ADDENDUM: Officer Grady has been killed;
On August 5, the search for a new police chief is on. The Milkman serves as the Police Chief for a short period of time but is replaced quickly.
3.
Photographs in the houses self-update overnight. Crowe says that every house does this.
4. According to Crowe,
Hazmats appear (at random?) and may be controlled by Lucy Smith. ADDENDUM: See 1 under Significant Events for further information.
5. Crowe seems to be suggesting
that death in Mayfield is not permanent. Death is not permanent. Significant Events [In Chronological Order]
1. October [prior to arrival]:
Chaos tells her that here are these things called Hazmats. Crowe mentioned them once, briefly. Chaos explains what he knows of them--the Hazmats release some sort of gas that is poisonous and do not speak. Chaos says he attempted to speak to one, and ended up being chased by a Hazmat with an axe.
2. May [prior to arrival]: Spring Culling event.
Eva tells Hawkeye a bit about the spring culling event. Mayfield inhabitants were told that their loves ones were in danger and would be harmed unless the inhabitant were to kill the person they were assigned to kill. Eva mentions that the people threatened by the letters are not just inhabitants of Mayfield--people outside of the town can be threatened as well.
3. Assumed Date: some time in early June [prior to arrival]: Sergeant Balin Wilbur relays that
there was a "commie" hunt in the month prior to their arrival. A census form is sent out, asking if people are communists. The event ends in people being manipulated into turning on each other, attacking and or killing one another. Balin states that some jumped at the opportunity to kill while others hesitated/required manipulation.
4. July 11-17: Speak Up! Event.
Jane Smith is murdered, which triggers
a lavender scented 'truth gas' that causes varying levels of a compulsive need to reveal secrets to the general population. Throughout the event, the drones stay inside and chatter about fear of communism.
On the 17th, Evan Olney is identified as the "communist", and Officer Grady dies "bringing him to justice." Lucy's new mother looks 'off', but it's difficult to pinpoint what about the woman does.. Immediately post-event, Mayor Doe is around a lot more.
Event ends in a regain for all those who participated.
5. August 5:
We are in search of a new police chief.
6. August 15-21
Milkfield As of August 18, the Horse household has figured out that to avoid being
droned into psychotic killing tendencies, they have to
drink the milk. The situation comes to an end on August 21st, it is safe to not drink the milk again. This even also culminates in a regain.
7. September 2-3:
Summer Lovin' event.
Riza and Hol are locked in that hotel, both of them are rather displeased about their outfits, and it involves drinking of some alcohol to survive the evening. Regains

Important, Non-Plot Events
[Note: this is technically for mun-use only]
1. During the Milkfield event [August 18], Hawkeye is
murdered by Lust via two lovely cuts into her carotid arteries, nearly losing the fingers of one hand, and then a quick stab to the base of her neck. Edward just watches, which causes
a lot of awkwardness and ultimately ends in
interrogation by Olivier Armstrong to figure out what REALLY happened
