Title: A Place In The Sun

Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. What do the summer and this trip have in store for them?
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot, but I sure wish I owned more...
A/N: Over a week since last time I updated and I'm sorry for that. Been crazy busy and will still be for about one more week. But as you can see I have managed to write for you all. And not only have I managed to write on this story, I've managed to almost finish of a sequel to my story Will Return To Sender. So if you get lucky I might be able to finish and post that one up before this weekend is over (^_^)V

"Matsumoto-san? Ninomiya-san?" Ueda said his eyes growing bigger with every syllable as he stared at his grinning senpais at the door.
"Good morning" Nino said making his way pass the stunned Ryo.
"Good morning, Ueda-kun, Nishikido" Jun said following Nino into the room. "Sorry for the intrusion"
"May I ask again why you're here?" Ryo asked pushing the door shut and then leaning against it. He gave their senpais a suspicious look, eyeing them up and down.
"I wanted to check up on you" Nino said stopping his walk around the room. "After hearing from you at least once a day for three weeks got me used to it. And now you I haven't heard anything from you for almost two days." He grinned as he leaned against the drawer and started to play with Ueda's sunglasses that were lying there. "Plus I wanted to see if you two had really become an item. You could've lied to me for all I know"
"Like I would ever lie" Ryo scoffed ignoring the raising eyebrows on everybody's faces. "And anyway, that only explains why you are here Nino, but why are you here Matsumoto?"
"After I had tried to get a hold of you" Nino started before Jun had a chance to answer himself. "And you didn't answer or call back, I decided to try and get a hold of Ueda-kun since you would most likely be with him."
Both Ueda and Ryo ignored the meaningful eyes that Nino was sending them both.
"I asked around the agency, but to no luck since it seem like you haven't given out your number to many people. So then I asked Jun to call Nakamaru-kun and get your number, but it seemed like Nakamaru-kun didn't want to hand out the number without permission"
Ueda smiled at that from where he was sitting on the bed eyeing their senpais while hugging the pillow he had taken from Ryo earlier. Nakamaru was a good friend, and a trustworthy one.
"So, I called Akanishi instead" Jun continued from where Nino had paused. "And he didn't hesitate one second about giving it to me. He didn't even ask why I suddenly would want it"
"Bakanishi" Ryo muttered. "I'm gonna kill him"
"So after Jun so kindly had gotten me the number" Nino took over the story again. "I couldn't exactly deny him to know what I wanted it for, and I told him about the two of you"
"So now one more person knows about us" Ueda said in a soft whisperer glancing over at Ryo by the door, but no one took notice of his words.
"And when Nino couldn't get a hold of you either" Jun said looking straight at Ueda. "He decided to pay you a visit and I thought it would be kind of fun so I just tagged along"
"When did you get here?" Ueda asked still hugging the pillow.
"Late last night" Nino answered as he stopped playing with the sunglasses. "We drove here right after I made one last call to you last night"
"And you wouldn't have bothered to come here if I had answered or called back?" Ueda asked his eyes darting between Jun and Nino.
"Most likely" Jun nodded.
"I knew I should've called back" Ueda muttered as he glared at his boyfriend.
"Don't look at me like that" Ryo said glaring back at Ueda. "I didn't stop you from calling back"
"You didn't encouraging me either" Ueda said braking his stared and then turned to look at Nino "Anyway Ninomiya-kun, since you're here I wanna thank you"
"Huh? For what?" Nino asked confused.
"For being Ryo's confidant" Ueda smiled slightly glancing back at Ryo who was looking down at his feet, seemingly finding them very interesting. "And for giving him advices and listening to hi-"
"Oh, so Ryo told you about all that?" Nino grinned interrupting his junior and looked over at Ryo who had suddenly lost interest in his feet. "Did he mention the dre-"
"No need to talk about that" Ryo said cutting Nino of and covering his mouth with his own hands. He had made a run to Nino the moment he saw the big grin plastering his friend's lips. "So for how long are you planning to stay?" He continued, changing the subject and completely ignoring his boyfriend and Jun's curious looks.
An hour later and Jun and Nino was still occupying their room chatting and laughing with Ryo. Ueda didn't take much part of the conversation but enjoyed listening to his boyfriend talking to his friends. He had no idea that Ryo had been this close to any of the members of Arashi before this trip. Well he had learned a lot about Ryo the last month and especially during this trip when they literally spent almost 24/7 with each others. He smiled to himself as he hugged the pillow that had been in his arms all this time tighter and nuzzled his nose into it. It still smelt really nice, it smelt of Ryo.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, this time a softer knock than the way Nino had done earlier but still it was hard enough to slightly startle them all. Ueda threw a glance at his cell phone and saw that it was almost 8.30. It could be almost anyone now, anybody out of their travel company wanting to ask if they would want to join for breakfast.
"Go open princess" Ryo said throwing a smile over his shoulder from where he was now sitting on the floor with Nino. Jun was still standing up, leaning against the window. Ueda didn't reply to his boyfriends command; putting away the pillow and got up from the bed.
"Ueda- kun, is Ryo always bossing you around like that?" Jun asked a bit surprised.
"I do not boss around. And anyway Princess does the same to me sometimes" Ryo snorted while Ueda just shook his head in amusement as he approached the door. Ryo had obviously not realized that he had just contradicted himself but the other's had and was grinning at him as Ueda opened the door.
"Ah, you're up Tat-chan" A grinning Kame greeted Ueda. "I thought you'd still be sleeping but you seem to have been up for a while"
"Ah, yeah we got visitors early this morning" Ueda said opening the door wider and showing with his hand in the direction of the two Arashi members.
"Matsumot-san? Ninomya-san?" Kame's eyes grew with surprise and got the attention of their senpais.
"Good morning Kamenashi-kun" Nino smiled and Matsumoto offered him a bright smile and a nod of acknowledgment. "How are you doing? Everything's fine with Akanishi?"
"I'm good, everything's just fine. Thanks for asking" Kame answered politely to the older man before he turned to face Ueda with a quizzical look; obviously wanting an explanation.
"They're here to check up on us or something" Ueda answered Kame's unspoken question. "So what brings you to our room?"
"Ah, I just came to get the car key" Kame answered glancing over at where Nino, Jun and Ryo had gone back to their conversation. "Jin wants to go on a trip or maybe he just wants to find a good place for outdoor sex who knows; he's been on about it for a few days now" Kame rolled his eyes "Anyway, did you have a great time yesterday?"
"Yeah, I'll tell you all about it later" Ueda smiled as he went to get the car key from his bag.
"Write a report instead."Kame said "I'm not sure when I'll be back or if I'll even be in any good shape for a talk"
"You want me to write a report?" Ueda asked in disbelief as he came back and handed Kame the car key. "What are you? My teacher?"
"No, but that's the least you can do right?" Kame smiled wickedly. "After all I saved your asses yesterday. What were you doing in the bushes anyway?"
"Uh... hiding?" Ueda said glancing over at Ryo as his cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. "How did you know it was us?"
"I recognized your laughter" Kame said patting Ueda's shoulder. "So, well I'll go now and don't forget to write the report. I want to know everything!"
"I will" Ueda glared at the younger one. "Bye"
"Bye" Kame smiled and then turned to the others in the room "Matsumoto-san, Ninomiya-san it was nice seeing you"
They managed to wave him a quick goodbye before he was pushed out from the room by an annoyed Ueda.
A few hours later Ueda found himself lying on the beach doing the assignment he had gotten from Kame. He had thought about just neglect it but then the vision of a smirking Kame, a Kame with a wicked smirk, had entered his mind. A smirk telling Ueda that something bad would happen if he didn't do his homework. Ryo was down in the water with everyone except for Junno who was lying next a bit away from Ueda reading something and Akame who had gone off somewhere. Ueda hoped that the couple would not end up in the papers or end up in jail due to public indecency. But then again Kame was a sensible guy even though he could turn a bit less sensible around Jin. The guys from Arashi had gone back to Tokyo about an hour ago after they had made Ryo and Ueda treat them to brunch away from the hotel.
Ueda sighed his hand was starting to ache a little from the scribbling but he kept on writing, the sooner he finished the better.
"What are you scribbling?" Junno suddenly asked interrupting and startling Ueda.
"Ah... a letter?" Ueda said glancing over at his smiling friend.
"To who?" Junno asked getting up closer to Ueda to cast a curious look on the paper.
"Date report?" he read out loud from the paper before Ueda had managed to cover it up. "Why are you writing something like that? Is this about your date with Nishikido-kun yesterday?"
"How did you know?" Ueda asked shocked at first but then he remembered that Junno had figured it all out.
"Nakamaru told me that he and Tegomass had met you yesterday" Junno smiled. "I just assumed it was a date, well it must've been a date since you're together now, right?"
"Yeah..." Ueda said slowly not quite daring to meet Junno's eyes. "How did you figure out that Ryo's and mine relationship had uh... developed?" he then asked the question that had been bugging him a few times.
"Ah, about that" Junno smiled "I figured it might've been the case when you two almost kissed in the sea the other day. If you hadn't been a couple you'd have freaked out and kicked the hell out of him but you didn't, instead you just kept on playing and having fun. If Jin had tried to kiss you for example, no scratch that cause he would never do that and if he did his faith would be a lot crueler since he's together with Kame and Kame's wrath is something you don't wanna face." Junno shuddered slightly. "If I were to kiss you I'm sure you'd kick me right?"
"You saw that?" Ueda said instead of answering Junno's question while staring at him in shock and fear. If Junno had seen then maybe someone else had seen as well.
"Don't worry, I'm pretty sure it was only I that saw that" Junno patted Ueda's shoulder. "The others were busy laughing at something stupid Jin had just said; what I don't really know since I was observing you."
"Have you talked to anybody about this?" Ueda asked carefully slowly letting his gaze go from Junno to Ryo down in the sea laughing and having a great time.
"No, but if my observations are correct, and they almost always are despite everyone calling me KY" Junno answered following Ueda's gaze with a smile. "Then I think that most of our company has figured it out. Shige-kun and Koyama-kun seemed to think that way when I hung out with them yesterday and we talked about where you two had gone. And Kame knows right, or he wouldn't have given you that assignment right? And Nakamaru had a goofy grin on him when he told me about his run in with you, and maybe Tegoshi-kun and Masuda-kun have figured it out as well. I don't know about Jin, Yamapi and Koki though. They might not know for sure, but probably wishing, hoping, that you are."
"Oh..." Ueda sighed going back to his assignment. "Oh well... the sooner everyone's figured it out the better I guess"
Junno didn't say anything more he just patted Ueda on the shoulder again with a smile before going back to his book.
