That was the only thing he wanted, them being idols make this harder than he imagined. To keep their love away from the public, he feared that their love will be rejected and labeled as disgusting and eventually he had to be separated away from the one he loves the most.

A few weeks ago Ueda had mentioned that he’d never actually been to Nara, in spite of the fact that it was a vital part of Japan’s cultural history, as was the entire Kansai region, especially Osaka, and totally cooler than Tokyo any day of the week. Plus it had deer. Everyone likes deer. As Ryo had been to Nara on a class field trip in middle school, he was clearly in an excellent position to play tour guide and take Ueda on a romantic yet educational Christmas date steeped in deep cultural meaning and cute animals. He’d even gotten reservations for the night at one of the fancy Nara hotels. He was totally the best boyfriend ever.

He could take Ryo on verbally, and physically if he had to-Ryo was scrappy and probably fought dirty, but Tatsuya was sure he could sneak a few right hooks in before Ryo hit him with a chair or something.

Ueda thought he should be used to being around handsome people by now; after all, Johnny’s was more or less comprised entirely by good-looking guys. But, somehow, Ryo was a cut above the rest. When Ueda broke it down, Ryo shouldn’t be so attractive; his mouth was too wide, his had a weird mole by his mouth, and above all he was downright mean. But somehow, in spite of it all, he still was the only guy that regularly made Ueda’s heart speed up and tongue get thick in his mouth, so all he could do was sit there dumbly whenever Ryo decided to tease him. Ueda knew he just shouldn’t care what Ryo thought or what Ryo said, but somehow he always did.

Ueda pushes him away, panting slightly. He regards the satisfied smirk on Ryo’s lips passively before commenting, “There are better ways to ask me out than beating around the bush and coming up with stupid plans that involve kissing a bunch of other people.”

But still, regular making out sessions had to imply they got along at least one percent, didn’t they? And Ryo’s own animosity had faded to such a degree that he would give them a whole ten percent. Ueda didn’t piss him off nearly as much of late. So why did Ueda so easily say ‘zero’?

There is really no reason to be scared of the little twat at all, Ueda thinks, except that Nishikido has these psycho tendencies sometimes and the only ones who seem to be able to deal with him then are Uchi Hiroki and YamaPi.
