player statistics and history meme.

Feb 10, 2010 12:05

It's been almost a year, and I had the urge to redo and update this after answering one of Lance's questions in my other meme, so have that mackzazzle-style app stats meme! The code can be found here. ... and I am no longer doing overall percentages because I have apped over 30 times. Just. No. I even stopped being lazy and sort of wrote new things in the characters that were in the old one! ANON'S HAS A LINK. 8D

Auel Neider from "Gundam SEED Destiny" (auel_fixation)

App Percentage: 87.5%
Played From: May 2005 to September 2005
That's How Long? Four months
Total Comments: 1,493
Reason For Dropping: Auel was wonderful crack, but started my trend of not doing so hot with characters who were for crack only! I grew really tired of his threads real fast, and nearly dropped him several times in August before I got up the nerve to just rip the band-aid off in September 2005. This was like the start of my "JURI DOESN'T DO CRACK CHARACTERS FOR LONG" trend.
Select Option 3? I honestly cannot remember much of anything that I did with Auel aside from the kitten huffing gag.

Heine Westenfluss from "Gundam SEED Destiny" (heine_sight)

App Percentage: 85.7%
Played From: June 2005 to August 2006
That's How Long? One year, two months
Total Comments: 17,506
Reason For Dropping: I loved Heine. So hard. But towards the end, I'd felt like I'd really lost my grasp on his voice, and he was so far from canon that I couldn't really fix that. It didn't help that canon didn't give a whole heck of a lot on Heine, and I didn't have translations for the Edge. Heine is a small character in the series! He gets a whole heck of a lot more in the way of depth in canon than some other SEED side characters, IMHO, but he still doesn't get a lot. So, rather than fix that, I sort of let him wallow for a bit, and then finally let him go. He's the only one that I can really quite safely say that I will never ever reapp. I kind of. I loved Heine, but I don't talk about him much because he's the character I played heavily at the beginning of CFUD, and. haha. hahaha.
Select Option 3? I do like that my app pattern has deviated pretty far from the "Heine" type. I really have no idea how he got to 17k other than via spamming with Ishida.

Yuuki Nao from "My-HiME" (ob_durate)

App Percentage: 88.1%
Played From: July 2005 to August 2005
That's How Long? One month
Total Comments: 116
Reason For Dropping: Nao made me scared. I was afraid to be abrasive in camp, which is the kind of character she is! Nao will mess with you! I couldn't do that at the time I apped her, which is sad because she's basically the perfect female character for me and I do love her dearly. I got cold feet and dropped her like a hot potato.
Select Option 3? THINK THINGS THROUGH BEFORE YOU APP, KIDS. One-hundred comment wonder.

Lacus Clyne from "Gundam SEED Destiny" (mizu_no_akashi)

App Percentage: 100%
Played From: August 2005 to November 2005
That's How Long? Three months
Total Comments: 843
Reason For Dropping: Lacus is a very, very difficult character. I sometimes wondered if Sunrise even knew what the hell they were doing. I loved her dearly, but I never felt like I could strike that right chord with her and at times felt like I was maybe too heavy-handed with her. So she quickly got dropped.
Select Option 3? I kept her for a month longer than I intended to because I loved her icons.

Robert Haydn from "The Law of Ueki" (_higher_)

App Percentage: 82.2%
Played From: October 2005 to August 2007
That's How Long? One year, ten months
Total Comments: 19,780 (upon dropping)
Reason For Dropping: It was his time! I had no regrets about the Robert drop, unlike my wahwah occasional wangst over Heine's. I loved developing him and playing out his relationships, but at the end of it all, it was really time to let him go home and get back to things.
Select Option 3? Getting sedated and being forced to watch girly movies on Halloween 2006 was kind of awesome. Suddenly wanting to reapp him ten months later was also a scream.

Anon from "The Law of Ueki" (homphgomph)

App Percentage: 86.4%
Played From: November 2005 to September 2006
That's How Long? Ten months
Total Comments: 3,055
Reason For Dropping: Anon was a lot of fun to play, but ultimately, he was way too difficult, what with being a huge god-mode and all. That aside, canon never really revealed what was up with him, like his precognition. Did he really have that, or ...? I always felt really awkward with him in certain situations, which made it hard to play him! That aside, he wouldn't really make connections. I nearly reapped him once! This was back in October 2007. I canon reviewed the later episodes for him, but I realized that I would probably get stuck because canon was vague when it came to him, and never did. And now that I've reapped Robert, I never will reapp Anon. The playercest was murder on me.
Select Option 3? THE BABY WAS OKAY. I will never top that.

Jay the Unseen from "Tales of Legendia" (chizakura)

App Percentage: 81.4%
Played From: February 2006 to June 2006
That's How Long? Four months
Total Comments: 1,171
Reason For Dropping: Jay is someone who should be played heavily and should be out there trying to figure out stuff. And I couldn't really do that with Jay. I ended up dropping him because I didn't want to half-ass him. I didn't have the time or the energy to devote to really delving into him, so he got the axe.
Select Option 3? It was hilarious having people try to figure out his name for that first week.

Sakuraba Haruto from "Eyeshield 21" (haphazardace)

App Percentage: 89.3%
Played From: June 2006 to October 2009
That's How Long? Three years, four months
Total Comments: 25,984
Reason For Dropping: Mostly, it was time. I knew when Shin reapped and I didn't feel like playing him at all that his time had come. I wavered on it a lot because Sakuraba has rebounded before (see December 2008)! But I'd burned out on him completely, to the point where I felt like the threads I did just had him going around in the same circle that he really should have been out of. And so on.
Select Option 3? ... I dropped him when he was 16 comments away from 26k. LAME. Anyway, I love him to bits still, but it was time. LAY THAT PIMPURABA TO REST.

Kakei Shun from "Eyeshield 21" (high_wave)

App Percentage: 87%
Played From: September 2006 to March 2007
That's How Long? Six months.
Total Comments: 2,350
Reason For Dropping: I actually do regret Kakei's drop! But he became incredibly hard to play without Mizumachi. However, even if Mizumachi hadn't dropped, I would have dropped him eventually anyway. The point in canon that he came from was difficult to deal with, and he became real unhappy real fast with camp. I do regret his drop, though, because I miss his threads with Katou and Himawari.
Select Option 3? Kakei's app was a pain to write. I had the general concept in mind, but writing it was like pulling teeth and took two weeks. Hei's was the only one that was even harder than that (and nowadays, I just crank them out over the course of a day).

Karakuchi Kouji from "Medabots" (shadowedprodigy)

App Percentage: 70.4%
Played From: November 2006 to January 2007
That's How Long? Two months
Total Comments: 362
Reason For Dropping: One Saturday morning, I got bored, watched a couple episodes of Medabots, and remembered how much I loved Kouji and how cool it'd be to play him in a game like CFUD. I wrote the app in an hour on a whim (okay, and enabling from master_of_mon). ... it didn't do so well! I never got my footing after that, and never really wanted to settle in because I was so unnerved about the app and other things, so he got the drop in January.
Select Option 3? My experiences with Kouji's app were what lead me to get my apps meticulously beta'd for over a year. My apps since then have done pretty damn well, which is something I'm actually kind of proud of. :(d

Miles Edgeworth from "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" (attorneyatlol)

App Percentage: 97.3%
Played From: December 2006 to October 2008
That's How Long? One year, ten months
Total Comments: 7,777
Reason For Dropping: ... I love Edgeworth, man. Dropping him hurt me a lot, and it still feels weird to not have his account on my widget. Yes, still. This is one of those drops that I agonized over for ages. He's a weird one in that I'd be really good with him one month, and then feel really off the next. But in the end, he was stressing me out, which is what lead to his drop. He had a good run! But without Phoenix, I didn't feel like I could really find stable ground with him, so. kerdrop.
Select Option 3? I loved his app. I think that, to this day, it's probably one of my favorite apps. I also like how no one noticed (or never pointed out, thank you sob) that the info I had in the last meme re: him was totally wrong.

Sohma Akito from "Fruits Basket" (deusvobiscum)

App Percentage: 80.4%
Played From: February 2007 to September 2007
That's How Long? Seven months
Total Comments: 969
Reason For Dropping: ... god. I loved Akito when I read the manga, and I knew he'd be hard to play. I'm actually kind of surprised his app got over 80%! But he was fun, until I hit a point where I got so exhausted playing him. I couldn't play him for more than an hour towards the end, and that was when I realized that I had to let him go. It wasn't fair to make Shigure run the posts while I commented sporatically. There were a lot of things I wanted to do with him in camp, but I could never really muster up the energy to do them, which was a shame.
Select Option 3? Push the button, Hatori.

Sasaki Koutarou from "Eyeshield 21" (kickoptionthree)

App Percentage: 98.3%
Played From: April 2007 to September 2007
That's How Long? Five months
Total Comments: 1,506
Reason For Dropping: I had a lot of regrets and "wahwah I suck" when I dropped Koutarou, but looking back on it, I had fun with him when I had him and then dropped him when he stopped being fun. Koutarou was for crack! He wasn't really a longterm character, either, and I should have recognized that when I dropped him. It wasn't failure. I kind of wish I liked the ES21 dressing room more, because I would totally toss him out in there.
Select Option 3? THE ANTEATERS ARE SMART!

Li Shunsheng / Hei from "Darker than Black" (darkasthe)

App Percentage: 92.0%
Played From: June 2007 to July 2008
That's How Long? One year, one month
Total Comments: 9,148
Reason For Dropping: I ran out of stuff to do with him! I love Hei and I love Darker than Black, but at the same time, the series is so ridiculously vague that it's really hard to play after awhile. He was my primary for half of 2007, so it was really weird to have him suddenly taper off in comments. I'd done everything I'd wanted to do with him, though, so it was time! Ryuusei no Gemini has not given me any reapping urges, to be quite honest.
Select Option 3? His relationship with Yoko and the rest of the TTGL crew is still among my favorites out of all my characters ever.

Sanada Akihiko from "Persona 3" (fistfirst)

App Percentage: 84.3%
Played From: September 2007 to October 2008
That's How Long? One year, one month
Total Comments: 5,107
Reason For Dropping: F-favorite characterrrr. There were a bunch of reasons why I dropped Akihiko, but the big one is that his voice was so damn hard. The problem is that it's so normal and yet, it's very distinctive. I also felt like I'd played myself into a corner and couldn't really do much more with him. And Robert took over a lot of my play time. So Akihiko got the cut.
Select Option 3? ... I don't even know how he got 5k, man. Uh. Xenosaga weekend with Shinji and Mitsuru was tons of fun.

Dist the Reaper Rose from "Tales of the Abyss" (gonnagetreaped)

App Percentage: 91.5%
Played From: December 2007 to March 2008
That's How Long? Three months
Total Comments: 651
Reason For Dropping: I LOVED DIST, but really, I knew he wouldn't last too long and I was in it to have a blast for however long I'd have him. I told people up front that the minute he started being stressful for me was the minute that I'd drop him. I miss having a character strictly "for crack," but those don't work out too well for me. I thrive on characters being able to build relationships, and Dist basically exists to be the butt of everyone's jokes. 8Dd
Select Option 3? FLYING CABIN.

Toudou Heisuke from "Shinsengumi Imon Peacemaker / Peacemaker Kurogane" (countyourchikns)

App Percentage: 92.6%
Played From: January 2008 to June 2008
That's How Long? Six months
Total Comments: 1,765
Reason For Dropping: Heisuke is GREAT in that he's this comedic character with a brutally serious side. I love him, and I love the fact that he can be such a screw-up. But he's immensely difficult to play in this setting and ICly got very unhappy very fast. By June, I wasn't even really playing him! I didn't have a Shinpachi and a Sano by counselors and decided to let him go while I still loved him.
Select Option 3? I loved running Haru's auction. Peacemaker in general is one of my forever girl canons, so basically, I just loved playing him in general.

XerXes Break from "Pandora Hearts" (pierrotlafraude)

App Percentage: 94.9%
Played From: February 2008 to September 2008
That's How Long? Seven months
Total Comments: 2,788
Reason For Dropping: Break just became too difficult for me to play, end of story. ♥ OKAY, to elaborate, I fell out of love with canon at the time because it was really vague at the time about some things due to Mochizuki loving her some crack and made it hard for me to play Break with my play style. I freaked out, basically! Letting him go was absolutely the right decision and I'm really glad actualize picked him up.
Select Option 3? I STILL NEED ANOTHER CHARACTER THAT INTERACTS WITH ZAZZLE'S A LOT.

Death the Kid from "Soul Eater" (ocdeath)

App Percentage: 96.2%
Played From: April 2008 to June 2009
That's How Long? One year, two months
Total Comments: 2,170
Reason For Dropping: After a year or so with no real strong connections anymore, Kid stopped being fun. When I apped him, I'd pretty much told myself that the minute he became stressful, I'd drop him. Patty and I talked and decided to drop while we still had the good memories and they weren't, you know, a chore to play.
Select Option 3? I still love Soul Eater as a series to pieces. I'm also really shocked I kept Kid for as long as I did. It's because of my awesome canonmates. ♥

Robert Haydn from "The Law of Ueki" (reidealize)

App Percentage: 94.3%
Played From: October 2005 to August 2007 ; June 2008 to the present
That's How Long? Three years, six months
Total Comments: 28,672
Reason For Apping: ... SO. TEN MONTHS LATER, I woke up one morning and wanted to reapp Robert. And I did, and since then, his comment count has basically gone up by 10k. Uh. I love Robert, and dropping/reapping him solved a lot of problems I'd had with him in the past. He's just so different from the characters that I usually app that I really need him in my line-up for a change of pace. Hilariously, when I reapped him, I had 8 characters. By 2009, I'd dropped down to three. I sort of blame reapping Robert for this and don't regret it at all. And now that it's 2010, I'm back down to three again. It is probably his fault.
Select Option 3? My goal for his reapp was to beat his old app's score, which I did! By 12%. I'm rather proud of that, even though I feel like I sort of half-assed the app. I forgot to mention he wasn't human in his canon section.

Bak Chan from "D.Gray-man" (pity_disfou)

App Percentage: 98.1%
Played From: June 2008 to August 2008
That's How Long? Two months
Total Comments: 120
Reason For Dropping: I love Bak! And I actually liked D.Gray-man a lot once I got into it, since it was one of those series that I just could never get into for ages. But Bak is so awesome that I could never really get into his voice or what made him tick. If I can't do or run an intro post after a week or two of playing a character, it's usually telling for me. I felt really uncomfortable playing him and couldn't really toss him out into other posts, so after talking with Fou, we just decided to let them go.
Select Option 3? Christmas in July as an intro post was awesome. 8Dd

Gino Weinberg from "Code Geass" (serialdrapist)

App Percentage: 92.9%
Played From: September 2008 to January 2009
That's How Long? Four months
Total Comments: 1,258
Reason For Dropping: I burned out quickly. I decided that rather than stress over it (like I did with Koutarou), I'd drop Gino while I still had good memories of playing him and not "stress stress aghhhh." This basically became my mantra with the more upbeat characters that I played. Gino unfortunately suffered from me falling out of love with Geass.
Select Option 3? Sending someecards to Kallen was pretty much the best thing I ever did with Gino. :|d

Kagami Arata from "Kamen Rider Kabuto" (gartard)

App Percentage: 98.1%
Played From: February 2009 to May 2009
That's How Long? Three months
Total Comments: 305
Reason For Dropping: Kagami was too backburnery. I'd had him for two months and he hadn't even really threaded with anyone outside of his cast. He didn't feel properly settled when Adachi did, which meant it was time for him to go. I was really sad to let him go because I love the character to pieces, but he was one I didn't entirely click with.
Select Option 3? I loved my cast to bits. ): We didn't get to play together as much for various reasons (TIMEZONES), but when we did, it was fabulous. I held onto him for longer than I should have because I loved the cast.

Nanba Minami from "HanaKimi" (gettingdormhead)

App Percentage: 94.6%
Played From: March 2009 to ... March 2009
That's How Long? THREE WEEKS.
Total Comments: 123
Reason For Dropping: I have characters I refer to as "one-hundred comment wonders," which is probably really notable. They're characters that I love and have ideas for playing, but once I app them, get them in, and start playing a bit, something about them just makes me so insanely uncomfortable that I can't get into them. Nanba fell into that same category. I pretty much felt it from the get-go! And rather than intro him and stir up any potential drama only to drop like a tool, I figured it'd be best to quietly let him go. I was fairly positive (especially after getting Adachi, who I'd wanted for MONTHS) that I wouldn't be able to fix my issues with him. Also, to be honest? I loved the HanaKimi j-drama more than the manga, but apped from the manga because that was where the cast played from.
Select Option 3? ONE-HUNDRED COMMENT WONDER.

Adachi Tohru from "Persona 4" (truthlol)

App Percentage: 98.0%
Played From: March 2009 to January 2010
That's How Long? Nine months? Ish?
Total Comments: 2,138
Reason For Dropping: Burn out! I fell into a rut with him at the end of the summer and came out of it in November. I swore that if I fell into another one, I would let him go rather than sit on him like a tool. I also felt like I did everything in camp that I really wanted to do with him. I love playing characters that grow and those are the ones that stick with me in the long term. Adachi, on the other hand, doesn't really grow.
Select Option 3? I loved that CFUW game that AJ ran and that I got to inflict Jedward on people.

Aladdin from "Aladdin" (pimp_my_carpet)

App Percentage: 96.8%
Played From: ... I played Aladdin?
That's How Long? like never.
Total Comments: NOTHING.
Juri, What the Hell: I NEVER SAW AN ALADDIN. DID YOU SEE AN ALADDIN?
Select Option 3? This still sums up my feelings. OOPS.

Kaidou Naoya from "Kamen Rider 555 (Faiz)" (hisstrionical)

App Percentage: 95.7%
Played From: June 2009 to December 2009
That's How Long? Six months
Total Comments: 1,772
Reason For Apping/Dropping: I love tokusatsu, screw the haters. I watched Faiz during finals in June and fell for Kaidou. I loved his dorky mannerisms and the fact that he was a deeper character than he appeared to be. So I apped him. I was really cool with him backburnering off and on, but when Kiba said she was dropping, I decided to let Kaidou go with him rather than burn out heavily on him like my others. It seemed more fitting that way, IMHO.
Select Option 3? Sharing casts with Jae is always a magical thing for me. ):

Nicolai Conrad from "Shadow Hearts: Covenant" (tsarshunyou)

App Percentage: 100%
Played From: July 2009 to December 2009
That's How Long? About six months
Total Comments: 760
Reason For Apping/Dropping: uhhhh I am running out of things to say. I love the Shadow Hearts games! I love Nicolai! So when Anastasia started whoring for one, I told her I loved him and then ended up promising to app him when counselors came around. I loved that he was totally ruthless and badass and yet that all came crumbling down because of a girl. Nicolai was hard for me, though! I had a difficult time randomly tossing him into posts and ended up playing only with Anastasia. When we got a Karin and I still didn't feel compelled to do much with him, that was a sign.
Select Option 3? Ahhh, I loved his threads with Anastasia, though. She was the reason I kept him for as long as I did. Best not-sister ever. ♥

Janus Cascade from "Wild Arms 3" (takeupavarice)

App Percentage: 100%
Played From: August 2009
That's How Long? About six months
Total Comments: 1,988
Reason For Apping: Janus is one of my favorite RPG characters ever. I adore the Wild Arms series because they give you a lot in terms of NPC dialogue and side character material. And they're just fun! Janus got a lot of stuff and after reading his side-story in the artbook over the summer, I really wanted to app him. With Janus, I could do everything I wanted to do that I couldn't with Nicolai or even Adachi. He's also one of the few characters that I've felt comfortable enough with to come up with a lot of headcanon. And I love the fact that he can still make and maintain relationships despite the fact that he's a complete jerk. I have a lot of ideas and things I want to do with him and holy crap I'm still excited about a character after six months! GUYS THIS IS GREAT. ):
Select Option 3? BYAKURAN AND JANUS. They rarely interact, but when they do it is like gold. I love that Jae is totally up for doing all sorts of crazy stuff and I really need to install Photoshop onto this computer so we can do ... something. I also adore his threads with Lance.

Dr. Lance Sweets from "Bones" (anthrowned)

App Percentage: 100%
Played From: November 2009 to December 2009
That's How Long? Nearly two months
Total Comments: 228
Reason For Apping/Dropping: I got really into Bones in the fall and wanted to play a nice character after dropping Sakuraba. Sweets was everything I loved in a character! He was awkward, he could be kind of a dick, but he had the best intentions at heart with this hint of a really messed up past. You know, app bait for me. Unfortunately, right when I apped him, I started falling out of love with Bones (I've been relatively unimpressed by the fifth season) and felt way out of my league when it came to the psych talk. I also hit a huge RP rut and when I started pulling myself out of it, I had to cut down on my characters. Since he was difficult and I was no longer enamored with his canon, Sweets got the cut.
Select Option 3? Just when I'd gotten a character that interacted with one of Zazzle's, too!

Sanada Akihiko from "Persona 3" (fistfirst)

App Percentage: 94.4%
Played From: December 2009 to the present
That's How Long? Two months
Total Comments: 5,247
Reason For Apping: I missed having him and I was winding down with Adachi! I thought it would be fun to pick him up again.
Select Option 3? I'm remembering why I dropped him. damnit, 2009!

IN CONCLUSION

I've played here HOW long? 1,741 days
Overall Comment Count: 122,267
Average Comments Per Day: 70 comments/day

Longest Kept: Robert Haydn (Three years, six months)
