Rebuilding Lukas Chapter Links
In order to save my flist from being spammed, I decided to create a journal just for this fic. This is the master post for all chapter links and descriptions. However, since I originally stopped posting this at chapter 39 (which is now chapter 44), I won't be putting up any summaries for the newer chapters. I've also broken up the chapters that were too long for one post into multiple posts. Easier than making people read comments. Oh, I'm also including links to each individual chapter as posted to manndecker in '06/'07. This thing got some fabulous reviews in its heyday, so I like to go back and read those every now and then. :)
Also - the first batch of chapters have all been edited to more properly reflect Lukas' speech impediment. It never came across in the initial version, and I was bothered about that. I have also added a few scenes to the story, so any chapter with *** beside it indicates additional scenes. These scenes deal with Bastian and his decision to take time off of training. I feel like I cheated with that in the original version, I never really delved into how problematic that would be for him. So additional scenes deal with his decision and people's reactions to it.

Pairing Has bits and pieces of random pairings, but the story focuses on Bastian Schweinsteiger & Lukas Podolski. It's also quite heavy on Bastian and his old girlfriend, Daniela Aumeier.
Warning Reality-based and angst-laced (and guys actually acting like guys)! This story is like a rollercoaster ride. It also contains some sex here and there!

Author Notes Unfortunately, for the purposes of the story, I had to wave my magic wand and pretend that Monika Puchalski never existed. I am very sad about this, since I kind of adore her. As you get more into the story, it should become apparent why I could not keep her around. Since I refuse to make the WAGs into horrible creatures, she either had to be erased entirely, or killed off. Sorry, Moni! I ♥ you!
I have also changed some information as it relates to where people live. I know the guys own houses outside of Munich, but I needed them to live in the city for this story, so I decided to have them all occupy apartments in the Schwabing district of Munich.
I also wanted to note that when I started writing this, I didn't know much about Lukas' sister, except that she was older than him. I have since found out that she is married to Cengiz Can (I think that's his name) but since I couldn't confirm anything about where she was living back then, I just decided to keep the relationship I had initially decided for her. I also couldn't find anything on Bastian's brother's relationship, so I created a wife for him. She's not mentioned much though.
Also (the last also!), due to my ignorance of how national team matches occurred at the time of writing, I created training times for national team players that don't actually exist. There is sadly no way for me to fix this. I apologize profusely - it seemed like I researched everything except proper ways to get the national team together during the season.
Story Summary Lukas suffers a severe concussion during a match against France and has to re-teach his body how to do everything - from walking to holding his toothbrush. Bastian and the others are determined to help him through his time of need, but only Lukas can decide if he's up to fighting to get back to where he was.
